Shenhe was officially unveiled by Genshin Impact prior to the version 2.3 update. For a long time, the developers followed the trend of releasing new character information before the release in the next version.

Based on the previous reveal, players can expect Shenhe to be playable in Genshin Impact version 2.4. In addition to the official character art, miHoYo also revealed the weapon types and elements for this new Genshin character.

He is a descendant of the branch family of the exorcist clan. Speaking of exorcism, readers would expect Chongyun, a young exorcist, to know him.

Of the voice cast on Genshin Impact, Chongyun does have something to say about Shenhe. However, it is locked behind an unknown quest, presumably the Shenhe Story Quest.

He Doesn't Know Ganyu

Even though he and Ganyu were Cloud Retainer disciples, he didn't know his match. Shenhe knew the name Ganyu but he didn't really know his partner as a person. The two of them work as Adeptus in Liyue, and protect the people and this nation from dangerous monsters.

Ganyu and Shenhe Genshin Impact did not train together. So, they didn't see each other while being taught by the Cloud Retainer. Moreover, he tended to maintain his solitude while Ganyu was very busy with his work. Then, they had no chance to meet each other.

Although Shenhe has been an Adeptus for a long time, Ganyu admits that he does not know Shenhe well. Behind her graceful and attractive figure, Shenhe is said to be vicious and has a bad temper. He tends to obliterate his surroundings whenever his anger gets the better of him.

However, players may find out the truth about Shenhe's background and personality by playing his Story Quest when he is released in Genshin Impact.

There is currently no information available about character banners for version 2.4. However, many believe that the Shenhe and Yun Jin banners will be preceded by at least one replay banner in, hopefully, Ganyu or Xiao, due to the new banner mechanism.
