Diablo 4 Release: Beta Tester Pre-Order Begins, Save the Date!

Diablo 4 Release Beta Test

The yearly wait for Diablo franchise fans will soon come to an end, because Blizzard is through their official page officially announced the release date of Diablo 4. After nearly 10 years of blending in the lore of Diablo 3, the developer is starting to prepare to "continue the journey" towards its 4th sequel.

Blizzard has indeed given an opportunity to "reminisce" in 2021 yesterday by releasing the remastered version of Diablo 2: Resurrected. But still, the fate of the Nephalem (the name for the character being played) and the continuation of the Sanctuary meta are highly anticipated in the continuation of the storyline.

Diablo 4 Release

Features of Open World - Diablo 4 Release

What's unique about Blizzard when determining story progress in its latest sequel this time is the use of a new formula. Starting from the Diablo plot which tells the story of 3 playable characters, Diablo 2's story is reluctant to continue the plot so that it even makes the three of them as antagonists.

This is also the case in Diablo 3, when players are introduced as the Nephalem race; a completely different concept from the two previous sequels. However, the narrative that will be carried on the release of Diablo 4 will be closely monitored from the third installation – as if both of them were written in the same form of saga.

Therein lies the novelty, where Blizzard looks like it has found the right formula for future Diablo fictions. Could this be due to the death of Deckard Cain as a central role in the Diablo play so far?

Or is it because Diablo 3 & 4 was developed by the same team? To understand better, let's discuss the details together below!

What's New?

Lilith - Diablo 4 Release

Here are some new things that you can find in Diablo 4:

Storyline

Even though the storyline won't be too far from the current sequel, it's still good players will be served with something fresh. Instead of Diablo, the main antagonist in Diablo 4 will revolve around Lilith.

He is said to be the son of Mephisto and the mother of the Nephalem Race. This is where the conflict will occur, involving Lilith's reluctance to accept the will of Sanctuary who wants to commit genocide against her children.

The Gameplay

As a role model for the hack-and-slash genre, of course, some of the signature gameplay that has been present in previous Diablo sequels will reappear. But it's not Blizzard if it doesn't include excellent features.

Along with the rapid development of gaming technology and the existence of existing trends, it's not complete if it's a feature open-world and PvP (players-versus-players) are not included.

And that is also what the developer promised through the release of Diablo 4! Not only that, to further increase the immersiveness of these two features, a new mount system will also be introduced which has never been used in any Diablo installation.

New Attributes

If in Diablo 3 existence where in some classes replaced by attendance rage, then Diablo 4 has new attributes: Angelic, Demonic, and Ancestral Power.

This is also related to the highlighted plot, where the background of the Nephalem Race is described as the result of a cross between the High Heavens (Angelic/Angelic) camp, and the Burning Hells (Demonic/Evil).

Character and Class Customization

In the release of Diablo 4, players will also be given complete freedom in customizing their characters and classes.

For example, they can choose body posture, face shape, hairstyle, and other attributes according to whatever they want.

Apart from that, like in Diablo 3, the character's gender can also be chosen and not fixed according to the class. So far, only five classes have been shown by Blizzard for the release of Diablo 4.

Some of them are Barbarian, Sorceress (replacing Wizard), Druid (replacing Witch Doctor), Rogue (replacing Assassin and Demon Hunter), and Necromancer.

And what is certainly worth waiting for is the latest Diablo 4 engine capability which allows each custom character to appear in the in-game cinematic!

The feature is visible in the video that the page shares IGN.com. It's a move that takes the cutscene trend one step further.
