Let's meet Ursaluna from Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a prequel game to Pokemon Diamond and Pearl which was released in 2006. Games it brings some new pokemon in it, one of them is Ursaluna.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus was first announced during the 25th anniversary of Pokemon and then released a year later in January 2022.

In this article, we will get to know one of the newcomer Pokemon, Ursaluna.

Ursaluna is about 2.4 meters tall and weighs 290 kg. He is a giant four-legged dark brown bear with gray-brown peat covering his legs, tail and a large hump on his back.

Pokémon it has a brown face with a bright yellow halo and two small peat-shaped clouds in the center. The muzzle is bright yellow with a small black nose.

Some sources say that Ursaluna was inspired by the Ussuri brown bear who was called Kim-un-Kumuy in the Ainu language which means God of the Mountains.

On Hisui, this Pokemon is the protector of the peatlands where people collect fuel.

Taking too much fuel from this field can make Ursaluna angry. Because of this, the local people are very careful about their harvest so as not to overdo it.

Residents also sometimes perform small rituals to honor Pokemon.

Pokemon has 18 elemental types namely Normal, Fire, water, grass, Electric, Ice, fighting, Poisons, ground, Flying, Psychic, bugs, rock, Ghosts, Dark, Dragons, Steel and Fairy.

Ursaluna is of type Pokémon Ground and Normal. Ground type Pokemon have powers related to earth and earthbending.

The Normal type itself has more active movements than the other types, but most of its moves don't cause any damage.

In the past, all Normal-type Pokemon had attacks that could deal damage in the form of physical attacks. Now the majority of attacks remain physical, with a little extra special attack.

Some weak attacks like Tackles and Scratch being the first attack to deal damage, which various Pokemon species can learn as their levels increase.

Ursaluna is also known as a Pokemon with good digging abilities. You can also use this Pokemon as a mount to travel around in the game.

The peat covering his body has the ability to absorb shocks well. This Pokemon can also manipulate peat to protect certain body parts which makes it quickly adapt in battle.

Under certain circumstances, Ursaluna can release the peat that is in her body to optimize their speed.

How to Get Ursaluna

The initial form of this Pokemon is Teddiursa. Teddiursa who reaches level 30 will transform into Ursaring and to develop it into Ursaluna, players must use a Peat Block on Ursaring during the full moon.

How to get Peat Blocks?

There are two ways to get Peat Blocks in this game. First by digging the ground while riding Ursaluna. This Pokemon is known to have good digging abilities by using the "Hidden Treasure" detection sensor.

The first method will likely take a long time. This is because the "Treasure" given is random.

The second way is to complete Request 77 – Gone Astray located in Iceland. Peat Block will be given as a reward when players successfully complete this task.

Make sure you already have Peat Block in your inventory when the full moon night comes. Use Peat Block on Ursaring to evolve it. You can do this in any biome you want.
