Game Modes Available in XDefiant
There are 6 game modes in XDefiant that you can play. Here is the complete list of XDefiant game modes:
Escorts
In Escort, you will start the match as an attacker or defender.
The attacker is tasked with escorting the cargo to the delivery point on a predetermined route with different checkpoints along the way.
Meanwhile, the task of the defenders is to stop this by killing annoying attackers and standing near the charge so that it cannot move forward.
Once the time is up, the teams switch roles and whoever pushes the charge further wins.
Zone Control
Similar to Escort, Zone Control has roles for attackers and defenders. Attackers are tasked with taking over various zones in the folder in a limited time.
Meanwhile the defending team must contain the attackers by any means necessary and prevent them from taking any targets.
Domination
Domination in XDefiant involves capturing and holding three zones on the map for as long as possible, which will earn you points in the process.
The first team to reach 750 points will be the winner.
Occupy
Occupy is very similar to Domination mode, but the difference is that there is only one zone that must be defended by both teams.
An additional twist to this mode is that one point rotates around the map to a different location.
This forces you to change positions quickly and whoever has high mobility will have an advantage.
Hot Shots
This mode involves collecting bounties from fallen enemies. The player with the most bounties in the lobby is declared the Hot Shot and gets a faster movement speed and faster ADS time.
However, this crown carries a heavy burden, as everyone on the enemy team can see your position at all times.
The team with the most bounties at the end of the time limit will be the winner.
Ranked
Ranked is the place to go if you want a purely competitive environment.
With a 4v4 format and competitive rules, this is the perfect mode if you want to test yourself against opponents of the same level.
