What Is Web 3.0? Here's the Full Explanation!

Maybe some of you are still asking what Web 3.0 is? We will review this simply so that it is easy to understand.

An explanation regarding Web3 or Web 3.0 was conveyed by the Co-Founder & Chairman of VCGamers, Wafa Taftazani in the program Saturday Me Time Trans7.

What is Web 3.0?

The man who is familiarly called Wafa explains what Web 3.0 is.

He explained that Web 3.0 is the next stage of the internet evolution process that is currently being witnessed.

"Web 3 or Web 3.0 is the next stage of the internet evolution process that we have witnessed so far," he said in the program.

So, said Wafa, to be easily understood that Web 1.0 is an internet where information is given in one direction.

In Web 1.0 there are parties who provide information and there are parties who receive the information in one direction.

Then, Web 2.0 is the era where the internet began to facilitate many people or parties to create content on the internet. However, internet provision remains through mediating parties or central figures.

After that, continued Wafa, the next stage is Web 3.0.

"There are no more intermediary parties, no more mediators, every party, every actor who is active on the internet, creates content or creates information and can distribute it as widely as possible or we know it as decentralization," he said.

In simple terms, Wafa explained that on Web 1.0 the information distribution process runs in one direction. Then, in Web 2.0 the information distribution process is provided in parallel.

Then, Web 3.0 is an era in which the distribution of information and the creation of information occurs in a mass or decentralized manner.

An Explanation About Web 3.0 Shaping the Metaverse

In the program, Wafa also provides an explanation of how Web 3.0 can shape the Metaverse.

He said, Metaverse is basically a virtual environment (digital environment). Usually, it comes in the form of 3D, Virtual Reality and Mixed Reality.

Where, when we are in the Metaverse we can do many activities that we usually do in the real world in that world.

In the process that is in the Metaverse, he said, Web 3.0 provides technology that can create the foundation for the metaverse.

"So if we take an analogy, for example the metaverse is the real world, then web 3 is the technology that forms the foundation of that world," he said.

Wafa also provides an example of this. As an example, if there is an exchange of assets, there are transactions and recording of certain things, everything can be done with the technology available in Web 3.0.

"What people are most familiar with today is Blockchain," said Wafa.
