What is a dusting attack? Dusting itself is a plan by hackers to send "donated" assets cryptography and a small amount of money to users. Where "donation" leads to theft of user data.

What is Dusting Attack?

Dusting is a hacking scheme to obtain detailed information about cryptocurrency wallet owners by sending small amounts of coins or tokens to users' wallets. There is no precise indication of the number of pieces that refers to the word dusting.

Obviously, this attack cannot be used for trading, as most exchanges handle some of the tiniest trades. On the other hand, a brand name is so small that many people don't realize it's in their wallet.

In fact, after hackers or hackers make "gifts" to purse users, they will track and monitor all user activity.

As we know, crypto assets like Bitcoins not anonymous, they are anonymous. This means that hackers can track all funds and transactions to perform aggregated analysis of multiple addresses, allowing them to identify the identity of the person or business behind a user's wallet.

How to Avoid Dusting Attacks

By using a deterministic (HD) wallet, creating a new address every time you make a transaction can make tracking difficult.

Some wallets also show UTXO dust (unused transaction tokens), which you can mark as valuable that should not be used or wasted. 

In other words, the best way to avoid dusting attacks is to not take advantage of a lot of crypto assets that you find suspicious.

In the future, no one will be able to track information about the activities of crypto asset wallet users. Dusting in a crypto asset portfolio will not give anyone the right to control your money.

The privacy policy of virtual crypto asset wallets is very helpful in dealing with issues related to cryptocurrency dust.
