How to Rank Up Quickly Using Thamuz Ala Sana Resurgence

Sana Resurgence

In championship winning game four of the MPL MY/SG Season 5 finals MLBB, Resurgence relies on Brandon's Thamuz "Sana Resurgence".

Sana Resurgence has an 80 percent win rate on this hero, and is clearly very comfortable playing this fighter. He appeared in Thamuz against Orange Esports Reborn in the lower bracket final, and again in the grand final against Geek Fam in MPL Season 5.

Here are five tips from Sana Resurgence to quickly rank up using Thamuz.

Tricks Using Thamuz Ala Sana Resurgence

Use Fighter Emblems And Customize Battle Spells

Battle Spells

Sana Resurgence picks up Fighter Emblem and puts points into Festival of Blood. Not depending on enemy line ups, Festival of Blood is currently the best emblem for all situations.

For Battle Spells, Sana Resurgence recommends Vengeance, Flicker, and Revitalize depending on the situation. When facing many magic damage dealers, it is best to use Flicker.

If you are playing against a lot of physical damage heroes, it is best to use Vengeance or Revitalize. If the enemy hero doesn't have much burst, use Revitalize for initial sustain.

Build Bloodlust Ax And Wings Of The Apocalypse Queen For Core Items

Bloodlust Ax

During the game, build items Bloodlust Ax and Wings of the Apocalypse Queen for core items.

Spell vamp from Bloodlust Ax is very effective on Thamuz, because most of his skills are AoE, while Wings of Apocalypse Queen helps him survive during teamfights.

However, if there are too many mages, he doesn't recommend buying Bloodlust Ax because most players will buy a Necklace of Durance when playing against Thamuz.

Instead, buy Wings of Apocalypse Queen early, and choose items that give you more sustain, especially if your team needs you to be their front line. For example, you can buy Magic Blade and Athena's Shield as well.

If the team is behind in the game, Sana Resurgence suggests rushing to Immortality besides Wings of Apocalypse Queen.

Execute Combo Around Molten Scythes

Molten Scythes

Remember to put points in Molten Scythes first. This helps you to clear minions and harass opponents.

Thamuz's basic combo is Molten Scythes (wheels) to Chasm Trample (jump), Cauterant Inferno (ultimate), then Molten Scythes again.

Make sure the Molten Scythes position is behind the enemy hero so that when you jump using the Chasm Trample, you can pull the wheel towards you and pull the enemy inside as well.

Roam, Absorb Damage, And Combo With Atlas

In the early game, hit the lane hard, then roam. If you're laning against a weaker hero, try to cut down the minions before they reach the lane, so you can hit the enemy's buffs.

During team fights, stand at the front and absorb as much damage as possible to give room for the team's core players to take out.

If possible, combo with a friend, Atlas. He has a lot of AoE damage, and allows Thamuz to shine in group battles. Ultimate Atlas, Fatal Links, helps with that.

Be careful if the enemy has Valir. Buy more magic resist and try to dodge the spells so he can't get reset.

Focus on Creating Opportunities in the Early to Mid Game

Late Game

Thamuz doesn't develop well in the late game, so do everything you can from early to mid game.

On the lane, swap HP with your opponent, maintain pressure, and zone so you limit their experience. You need to make sure you can keep your opponent's laners on the lane so they can't roam.

Thus, you can browse instead. Go to the map for the team and get as much info as possible.

Thamuz is a hero who can really make early games run smoother, so it's best if you work with friends who play in the mid lane.

You will be able to communicate with the gang and work together better. The Sana Resurgence rank recommends working together at least as a trio, because Thamuz can't do a solo carry.
