Booyah, the streaming platform, is back with tournaments Free Fire new. The Free Fire Asia 2021 tournament lasts for two days and will feature top streamers and creators from six Asian countries.

Garena previously canceled the Free Fire Asia 2021 Tournament due to ongoing pandemic complications at the end of August. Many were surprised to see the news, but with these conditions, it is not possible to hold offline events in the midst of a pandemic.

Since then, players and esports organizations have been very curious about the replacement of events at the canceled event venues. But Garena has already outlined two upcoming continental and completely virtual events scheduled to take place in December 2021.

The Free Fire Asia 2021 Tournament which will take place on December 18 and 19 will be joined by two teams from India, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines. The Free Fire Asia 2021 tournament will be broadcast exclusively on the Booyah app from 17:15 WIB to 20:30 WIB.

There will be 12 invited teams competing in six matches across three classic maps: Bermuda, Kalahari, and Purgatory. Each side is named after the famous team from that country.

Play Passive Free Fire

Free Fire Asia 2021 Tournament is an online/virtual global tournament that was announced earlier this month along with EMEA Championship 2021. This event is scheduled to take place in December 2021 which consists of two stages, Play-in and Final.

The Play-ins will take place on December 20 and December 21, while the Finals will start on December 28 2021. The Free Fire Asia 2021 Tournament is an Asian Tournament which will feature 31 teams from nine Asian countries which include:

  • Taj Mahal (India)
  • Red Fort (India)
  • National Monument (Indonesia)
  • Borobudur (Indonesia)
  • KLCC (Malaysia)
  • Kinabalu (Malaysia)
  • Wat Arun (Thailand)
  • Wat Pho (Thailand)
  • Cho Ben Thanh (Vietnam)
  • Ho Hoan Kiem (Vietnam)
  • Intramuros (Philippines)
  • Boracay (Philippines)

Looking at the teams participating in this major tournament, we can see that there are only two Indonesian representatives, Monas and Borobudur. Both of them do have players who are reliable enough to play at the global level.

Rest assured, that the team will make Indonesia proud in the global Free Fire game scene. However, all the teams in this event need to watch out for.

Qualification Process

As for the Indian Region, the top 4 teams from the Free Fire 2021 India Autumn Championship will qualify for FFAC 2021. According to GameTube, it is uncertain how many teams will directly advance to the Finals, past shows that at least one will advance.

The FFIC 2021 Fall League Stage ended recently, with the top six teams advancing to the Finals. Play-ins took place on October 10, followed by the Finals on October 17.

The top team of the current Free Fire Pro League Season 2 Pakistan may qualify. The FFPL S2 final took place on October 10.

It will be interesting to see how the Indonesian team participates in this very prestigious global event.

As it turns out, the Free Fire Asia 2021 Tournament will clash with another Free Fire tournament, namely the Free Fire Winter Invitational, which started on December 15 2021.
