Even though she is a marksman, Kimmy's ultimate ability to deal physical or magical damage depending on her build makes her unique from other marksman. However, you must need a good understanding of the map to bring out the best from any hero.

Early Game

At 1st level, unlock Skill 1 followed by Skill 2. While laning continue to use Skill 1 and use its unique mechanic of being able to move and shoot to harass enemies and force them to remember, use their Battle Spells or waste their regen. 

Use Skill 2 to escape from battle or to avoid skills. Skill 2 can also be used to recharge energy.

You'll need to exercise some serious map awareness to detect any missing heroes that may be out there hiding to gank. Kimmy's Ultimate can be used to check bushes too.

Mid Game

Mid Game is the phase where players can snowball fast and hard. The mid-game is the high point in terms of power and effectiveness, you should take advantage of this and secure an early win if they can, or build on kills and take down turrets for a significant gold gain.

You have to keep a mix of aggressive and careful mindsets when they play in this phase. Always keep an eye on the map and rotate to help teammates in securing visions such as killing turtles, stealing enemy buffs, or creeping after clearing the minion lane. Another vision is to take down as many outer turrets as the player can in this phase.

Late Game

This phase is the point of the game where your position and timing will be most important. His damage may appear to be a pure drop compared to MM heroes in the late game, but don't neglect his range which can only be a trump card. 

With a good peeling tank on him, he can wreak havoc from the back line, and the passive slow of the Ice Queen Wand item also acts as a great support by slowing down enemies in teamfights.
