Katsudo Shashin tells the story of a boy wearing a sailor uniform. The boy wrote the words “Katsudo Shashin” (moving picture) from right to left. After that, the boy lowered his head and bowed.

Katsudo Shashin was created by a photographer named Seijun Nakajima. This film was made using the stencil technique, namely by printing images onto celluloid film using a mold.
