Stormgate

At the start of the game, Stormgate is the most ideal location for farming Runes. Head towards the group of Trolls in the cliff area North of Stormgate and defeat them.

Each Troll killed will give you around 1000 Runes. To make the battle easier, make sure you have several armor items or weapons first.

Castle Redmane

Another alternative location for farming Runes in Elden Ring at the start of the game is Castle Redmane. You don't even need to do much.

There will be a soldier with a firearm and a giant dog fighting in front of the castle. When one of them is killed, go eliminate the weakened opponents.

With this minimal effort, you can collect 3000 – 7000 Runes. Very easy, right?

Windmill Village

The recommended location for a quick rune farm is Windmill Village. This village is located on the northern coastline of the Altus Plateau.

When you arrive, you will see a village with a Midsommar look called Dominula, Windmill Village.

Haligtree

Halightree is a Rune farm location that you can visit when you are in the middle or towards the end of the game.

Before starting farming, make sure you have opened the optional area of Halightree. Go to the Prayer Room Site of Grace.

Next, go down the place and enter a door to the north. Run to the guardrail and stab the enemy you can see from behind.

For every enemy killed, you will get 2000 – 3000 Runes. Some enemies will even blow themselves up to stop your movements.

At this location, you can collect at least 40,000 Runes or more before returning to the Prayer Room Site of Grace and preparing to face the Cleanrot Knights or Erdtree Avatar.
