Fnatic Dota 2 Team Changes 3 Players Due To Visa Issues

Fnatic DOTA 2

One of Southeast Asia's most feared teams, Fnatic DOTA 2. They peaked at the third Major in 2019 and exited at the start of the last two years. They are definitely one of the most thriving esports in MOBA games right now.

The Fnatic DOTA 2 Esport Team has five mainstay players. All five players on the team have competed in TI before, although none of them have ever won. And the organization's last roster change last season, means they are yet to play in a tournament with their TI9 line-up.

Kim “DuBu” Doo-young, is considered a defining characteristic of this team play. They weren't the only team to make roster changes after earning enough DPC points to earn an invite last season.

This year, Fnatic was among only seven teams to attend all five Majors. They had enough points to qualify for TI9 with two of their first three finishes.

DuBu played for Immortals during the 2017-2018 season and attended The International 2017 with Digital Chaos as well as The International 2016 with MVP Phoenix. His inclusion in the team, as their captain, meant Jabz returned to the carry role vacated by MP.

With a US Major comes a lot of visa issues. Player others from China, Southeast Asia, and Russia have also reported problems with the application process.

This is very unfortunate for Fnatic DOTA 2 who currently sits in 10th place in the 2021-2022 Dota Pro Circuit standings. Without their roster at full strength, the team may even drop out of the 12 direct invite slots due to extenuating circumstances.

As the last Major before TI11 in Singapore, this is a very important tournament for the team to secure their invitation to Dota 2's most prestigious event.
