Starcraft 3 Release Schedule Rumors
Since the release of Starcraft Remastered in August 2017, many fans of the Starcraft series have been waiting for the next game to be released.
In an article from comicbook, a journalist and game industry insider from Windows Central, Jez Corden, claims that the Starcraft 3 that fans have been waiting for is in the works.
From a tweet on Twitter that has been deleted, Jez Corden answered a question about Starcraft from fans during the AMA.
The question is about the possibility of Microsoft reviving the Starcraft game after its acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Jez Corden responded to the fan's answer with "no need to bring Starcraft back to life".
In another question where fans asked if Corden knew anything about updates continuing about Starcraft 3, he gave an ambiguous answer with just one word, namely "Yep".
Until now there has been no definite release schedule or further comments from Blizzard Entertainment. Corden's response is the clearest indication that the game is being worked on.
Hints About Game Development From Blizzard
Several rumors about making a sequel to StarCraft 2 have been circulating since last year. This rumor emerged due to the Twitter activity of the president of Blizzard Entertainment, namely Ybarra.
Ybarra first talked about StarCraft in January 2022 when actor from the film Shang-Chi, Simu Liu, made a tweet on Twitter.
Simu Liu tweeted "PLEASE SAVE STARCRAFT" which was soon responded to by a smiling face emoticon by the president of Blizzard, Mike Ybarra.
Several months later, in April 2020, Mike again made a tweet related to StarCraft.
He made a tweet containing a photo of an old t-shirt from StarCraft. The t-shirt has the words "My life for Aiur“, namely the words Zealots utter before participating in battle in StarCraft.
Mike didn't add any caption to his tweet at all. This made fans wonder and created a theory that he was giving hints about the making of StarCraft 3.

BlizzCon Returns, Sign Starcraft 3 Will Be Announced?
After being postponed for two years due to the pandemic, Mike Ybarra announced that the BlizzCon event would be held again in November 2023.
BlizzCon is known to often be an event for big announcements about updates or projects from Blizzard Entertainment.
StarCraft 3 will likely be one of the hot topics discussed like another popular game, Warcraft 4.
In an interview with Wired, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer expressed interest in the possibility of creating several existing game franchises with teams from Blizzard and Activision.
Activision Blizzard is currently working on many big projects such as Diablo Immortal and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
With so many big projects, we can hope that StarCraft 3 will be made in the near future. If Starcraft is announced at the next BlizzCon, the game will probably be released around 2026 or 2027.
