News about FromSoftware has always been the target of the global gaming community. How could it not be, the genius of this one developer was even able to give birth to its own genre for its lineup!
Lovers Soulsborne will be happy to hear this news. After previously the developer had released official news regarding the DLC of their masterpiece titled Shadow of the Erdtree, so the news that comes this time is not related to DLC content.
Word is blowing that a new Soulsborne genre installation is in the process of being worked on!
Even so, this installation is still related to previous titles. Yep, what's coming is a prequel to the Dark Souls installation entitled 'Archthrones'.
As the name implies, this game is still based on the Dark Souls universe, which was first released in 2011 and already has two sequels and one remastered edition.
Of course all of that shows how legendary the Dark Souls franchise is in the global gamer community.
So how will 'Archthrones' be packaged later? And how significant is this for Dark Souls lore as a whole? So, for those who are curious, let's see this article until it's finished! I'm sure after reading you will understand more about the ins and outs! So, check it out!

Get to know Dark Souls
Before we dive deeper into the next installation, let's talk a little about Dark Souls first. So, for readers who don't understand much about this game, you can still follow the discussion!
As is widely known in the gamer community, Dark Souls is one game that has carved a reputation as one of the most difficult and full of challenges in the gaming world.
Developed by FromSoftware as the developer and distributed by Bandai Namco, this game has captured the hearts of players with its “dark world”, challenging game mechanics and eye-catching design.
Dark Souls plunges players into a dark fantasy full of evil creatures, darkness and mystery. Players assume the role of a character trapped in an environment threatened by destruction and constantly faced with deadly challenges.
The world of Dark Souls is full of dangers lurking around every corner, and players must struggle against powerful enemies, overcome slippery traps and explore terrifying locations.
One of the things that sets Dark Souls apart from other games is its high level of difficulty. This game is known for its unpredictable challenges and tactical game mechanics. Naturally, this game finally has its own genre, which is better known as Soulsborne.
In games of this genre, every battle with an enemy can be a real test of the player's skill, and failure can be fatal.
But that's where the appeal of Dark Souls lies. The game experience filled with a sense of accomplishment when successfully overcoming difficult challenges is something that keeps players coming back for more and more.
Until now, Dark Souls has had two sequels: Dark Souls II (released in 2014), and Dark Souls III (2016). The three of them succeeded in establishing FromSoftware as a seasoned developer to be reckoned with in this industry.

FromSoftware will be releasing another Dark Souls install next
For the newest one, "Archthrones" will not continue with the last installation, but will focus on events prior to the installation of Dark Souls III. So what's the name, Dark Souls 2.5? Lol, why is that?
Well, don't confuse Vicigers. This 'confusion' turns out to be caused not because FromSoftware has incorrect settings, but because this installation is not the latest official release let alone DLC! Yep, "Arcthrones" turns out to be a mod created by the fanbase of Dark Souls.
Calling themselves Dark Souls: Arcthrones, these indie developers created a mod that expands the range of Dark Souls III. So what makes it so hype?
From the information they released, it can be seen that this mod is very, very different from most. If other mods generally only change the appearance of in-game content, or add new enemies, Arctrones will add 5 different universes that can be explored!
Many say that this capacity is more like a DLC than a mod! Naturally, when finally the news about this mod exploded. This initiative may be based on the concerns of Dark Souls lovers who feel that their game has been abandoned by its developers.
Admittedly, currently FromSoftware's main focus is on the smash hit Elden Ring, as well as its latest installation of Armored Core (not the Soulsborne genre). It is unlikely that the developer will 'tweak' the Dark Souls lineup, which they consider to be too old.
