Genshin Impact 3.6 Special Program Recap: Introducing New Areas and Characters

Genshin Impact just aired the Special Program for the next patch which is 3.6 a while ago.

After several previous leaks, the characters Kaveh and Baizhu have finally been officially released and you can get them at the event banner later.

In the next patch, there will also be lots of new events that you can play and new areas that you can explore later.

Genshin Impact Special Program Recap 3.6

The latest Genshin Impact update is expected to be released in mid-April, April 12 2023 to be precise. 

Various new characters, events, areas, and new bosses are presented for this upcoming patch.

New Character Banners: Baizhu and Kaveh

In update 3.6, you will have the opportunity to get new characters, namely Baizhu and Kaveh.

Some players must be familiar with these two characters. Baizhu has appeared several times in Archon Quest Liyue and several events such as the Lantern Rite a few patches ago.

Kaveh has also been leaked by several leakers and has appeared before in the Alhaitham story quest.

Baizhu and Kaveh are support characters that you must get. Baizhu can restore HP and also provide protection in the form of a shield.

Kaveh is no less unique because he can break the Dendro Seed instantly without any duration and restore HP from the Dendro Seed explosion.

You can get Baizhu and Kaveh in the second part of the character banner along with Ganyu's rerun. The first banner will be filled by Nilou and Nahida who can also work with either Baizhu or Kaveh.

Apart from that, you can also get a new 5-star Catalyst, Jadefall's Splendor.

Event Akademiya Extravaganza Genshin Impact 3.6

Sumeru's first festival was finally held under the name Akademiya Extravaganza. This event will be the main event of the Genshin Impact 3.6 patch update.

Sumeru will finally hold a competition between Darshan or majors in Sumeru Akademiya, namely: Haravatat, Vahumana, Spantamad, Rtawahist, Kshahrewar, and Amurta.

This event will be divided into 2, namely the Interdarshan Championship and The Wisdom Gala. 

The Interdarshan Championship will be a story quest where each Darshan will send 1 representative to compete. You will be able to meet Cyno, Faruzan, Kaveh, and many more.

The Wisdom Gala itself has a collection of mini games where the six Darshans made games, namely: 

• Rtawaist = Arranging a puzzle to form a certain shape with the Astrolabe tool
• Amurta: Use bionic to create animal replicas to collect coins
• Spantamad = Domain battle with potion buff to strengthen character
• Kshahrewar = Create a route to reach a point with minimum material possible
• Haravatat = seek the truth of the story by doing analysis
• Vahumana = use certain gadgets to look for replica relics scattered in Sumeru

Apart from the Akademiya Extravaganza, there are several other events, namely Fulminating Sandstorm, Brewing Development, Overflowing Mastery Rerun, and The Recollector Path.

The Fulminating Sandstrom event will invite you to eliminate Wenut roaming the desert using the Wenutslayer Cannon.

Brewing Development is an event domain where every challenge you will get a random buff that may or may not match with the party.

Overflowing Mastery is a classic event where you will get double when farming Talent books.

The last event is The Recollector Path. This event will take place in the new area of Sumeru where you will be assigned to help Pari named Sorush to learn how to fight enemies.

New Artifact Set Genshin Impact 3.6

Update 3.6 will also bring new Domain artifacts that you can get. The two artifacts will most likely be located either in the new area or the desert area that was unlocked in the previous update.

There are 2 set artifacts that you can get, namely: Nymph's Dream and Vourukasha's Glow.

Nymph's Dream can provide additional Hydro DMG stats and is suitable for DPS Hydro characters.

Meanwhile, Vourukasha's Glow can provide additional HP stats and is suitable for Support characters.

Sumeru New Area and Character Quest Nahida Chapter 2

You will also be able to explore the new Sumeru area in the Genshin Impact 3.6 update later. To open it, you can do Character Quest Nahida: Sapientia Oromasdis Chapter 2.

Uniquely, this area will be in the form of a swamp even though it is in a desert area near the Hadramaveth desert. It is said that climate change in this area is due to the influence of the power of The Abyss and the fall of Khaen'riah. 

You will unravel many mysteries about The Abyss, Khaen'riah, and the origin of Sumeru's founding dragon, the Emerald Dragon.

You will also fight the Emerald Dragon who turned evil due to illness to become The Legendary Dragon of Vendure.

Your adventure to explore this area will be assisted by Sorush, a small ray that can help you fly around the swamp area.

Besides Dragon of Vendure, you will meet a new elite boss named Iniquitous Baptist who can attack with various elements.

You can also meet new enemies in the form of new types of Hilicurl, namely Anemo and Hydro Hilicurl Rogue in this new area.
