How to Find Shiny Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres in Pokemon Go

Shiny Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are the three Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon games Go and very rare.

You won't be able to raid them or find them in research.

They can only be found by using certain daily incenses that require you to walk around, and the chance of getting them is very low with a high escape rate.

So it's safe to say that getting these birds will be a real chore, but of course, hardcore collectors will want them.

In this article, we will explain how to find Shiny Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres in Pokemon Go. Let's check it out!

The three Galarian birds are rare encounters that appear when you use Daily Adventure Incense, a 15-minute blue incense that you can use once per day.

Daily Adventure Incense requires movement to spawn Pokémon and it has to be movement where you actually move in a location (not just walking on a treadmill)

This incense is the only way to find Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Finding the birds on the road is rare, so don't expect them to be easy.

Birds also have a poor catch rate and if the first ball you throw doesn't catch them, they will most likely run.

This Silph Road subreddit user says that the catch rate is 0.3% and the escape rate is 90%, so you should use Golden Razz Berries and Ultra Balls to increase your chances or use Master Ball.

Since the “Galarian Expedition” event in October 2024, the birds you encounter now have a chance to be shiny.

The shine on these birds is great because it really gives the Galarian birds their Kantonian color scheme: Articuno goes blue, Zapdos goes yellow, and Moltres gets its yellow and orange colors back.

The chance of a Legendary Pokémon sparkling in a raid is about one in 20, but since these birds have unique encounters, it is unknown whether they have the same chance or not.

Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf are Legendary Pokemon that can also be found in the wild and their shine levels are also at one in 20, so there is a chance that these birds have the same shine level.

The rules for finding these birds are the same as before, you just need extra luck to find these sparkling birds.

The main difference between the regular and shiny versions is that shiny Galarian Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres won't run away, so you have as many chances as possible to catch the bird.

However, their catch rate remains the same, so there's a chance you'll run out of Poké Balls before you can catch the bird.

Make sure you have a stock of Ultra Balls or have a Master Ball before going on this expedition.
