Semantic web is a form of progress or development of web applications. Literally, the semantic web means a web that has meaning.

In addition, the semantic web is also a web application that has a knowledge base so that it makes the semantic web smarter and more advanced than the previous web.

The technologies used in semantic web development with available data are named Resource Description Framework (RDF) and Web Ontology Language (OWL).

The semantic web is also part of Web 3.0 or Web3 which emphasizes data integration.

Data integration in this context is data that is processed into metadata, so that the resulting information is more meaningful.

Example of the Semantic Web

A real example of the semantic web is the ability to provide recommendations to users according to the wishes or interests of different users.

There are examples from the semantic web, such as Igoogle. When you access igoogle, various questions and options will be available that suit your interests.

This makes the igoogle page different according to the choices of different users.

Apart from that, there is Second Life which is a virtual world based on the internet. This virtual world can be called a metaverse, a place where humans can live a second life on the internet.

There are various activities and activities that you can do in Second Life, such as talking, meeting new people, and doing business. In Indonesia, there are metaverse places like Second Life namely Ransverse.

The semantic web has various special features that make it easier for users. One of them is Decentralization.

According to DesiDime, decentralization is a key principle of Web3. As a comparison, Web2 uses HTTP as a protocol that stores data on one server.

However, Web3 stores data on various areas and after that it will be decentralized.

Therefore, Web3 provides a control over the user or users. In addition, the semantic web also allows users to join or associate directly without going through intermediaries.

Furthermore, Web3 will run on a base Blockchains, distributed and decentralized organizations, or both.

Advantages With Blockchain

Web3 will provide increased data security, scalability, and of course privacy for users. Not only that, Web3 also prevents the influence of big tech companies.

According to Juan Cano-Benito and colleagues in the article entitled Torwads Blockchain and Semantic Web, there are advantages and benefits when the semantic web runs with Blockchain.

One such advantage is data decentralization. This can be an advantage because the semantic web can take advantage of the decentralized nature of Blockchain to store data.

In addition, Blockchain can carry the generation of DNS-independent identifiers such as Ethereum Name Service (ENS) to the semantic web. It can be an RDF resource.

This is a discussion of the definitions, examples, features, and benefits of collaboration between the semantic web and the blockchain.

VCGamers has released a crypto asset under the name $VCG Token which operates on the Ethereum network (ERC 20) and Binance Smart Chain (BEP 20).

$VCG Tokens has been officially registered at Bappebti or the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency and the Indonesian Ministry of Trade as crypto assets traded on the physical crypto asset market.

Currently, $VCG Token has been listed on various CEXs or Centralized Exchanges and DEXs or Decentralized Exchanges namely Pancakeswap, Uniswap, BitMart and Indodax.

Not only that, $VCG Token is the official currency in the first metaverse in Indonesia, namely RansVerse with the collaboration of VCGamers, RANS Entertainment, Shinta VR, and UpBanx.
