Counter Strike 2 is the sequel to CS:GO which was released in 2012. As one of the most iconic FPS franchises of all time, it's certainly not surprising that Counter Strike 2 is highly anticipated by its fans. Then, when will Counter Strike 2 be released?
Even though CS:GO is more than ten years old, this game still enjoys great popularity among connoisseurs FPS games.
This is evidenced by data in July 2023, CS:GO has nearly 30 million active players and there are 1.8 million new players.
But the good news is that Valve, as the developer of CS: GO, is aware that this game is out of date. So they have started working on the sequel, which is Counter Strike 2 which is made using the new Source 2 engine.
The Counter Strike 2 beta trial was launched in March, but the trial is still limited. Where only about 0.2% of CS:GO players have access to try Counter Strike 2, and most of them are professional players.
So, for those of you who are curious about the development of Counter Strike 2, let's look at the review below!

When is the Counter Strike 2 Release Date?
Counter Strike 2 will be released in the summer of 2023 and has been confirmed by Valve. This will make it possible if CS 2 will be released in the near future or at the most on September 30th.
Some rumors have stated that Counter Strike 2 will be released after June 14, 2023 because of the discovery that CS:GO was marked as "out of scope" for new reports starting on that date. However, because June 14th has passed and CS 2 has not yet been released, this rumor is certain to be untrue.
And another rumor says that Counter Strike 2 will be released this August. CS:GO itself was released on August 21, 2012, and this will be a great easter egg for CS 2 which will be released on the same date in 2023.

What's New in Counter Strike 2?
In the limited beta version yesterday, Counter Strike 2, presented two new available maps, namely Anubis and Ancient.
The beta started with Dust 2, which was later replaced by Mirage, and finally Nuke. Office has also been tested. Overpass is the first "Upgrade" level map in testing, and it's a good indication that CS 2's release date is fast approaching.
There is only one active duty map that hasn't been tested in beta yet, namely Inferno. After testing this map, it is possible that Counter Strike 2's release date will be even closer.
This test still has limited modes and features (eg box opening still not working), but casual matches are now available.
Of course, when this game is released later, we can expect that the existing maps, modes, and features will be more complete.
Skins from CS:GO will be Transferred to Counter Strike 2
All skins and items in CS:GO will also be transferred to Counter Strike 2. Even though, during the beta test, many players noticed that there were a number of errors or differences in the appearance of their skins in CS:GO and Counter Strike 2.
Valve has released a few updates to the visuals, and there will probably be more, but don't be surprised if the skin of the AK-47 or knife looks a bit different from the CS:GO version.
We can also expect pro players to make a quick transition to Counter Strike 2, thus allowing us to see some of the first official events being held later this year.
