Before it was officially released, Abyss was introduced (showcasing) for the first time at an event Riot biggest: Masters Shanghai, last June 9. This indicates

If you look at the lore, this map itself has a background that is connected to the members of the Scions of Hourglass. It is said that this location is one of their secret bases.

As a base, of course there are several facilities in it. Starting from various buildings to vegetation that provides a hidden atmosphere.

As the name suggests, 'Abyss' which in English means 'abyss' is the concept that Riot is focusing on in this map. As a result, the Abyss itself looks like it is floating above a deep hole!

So if you are not careful when moving and rotating, it is possible that the player could fall into it! Of course this provides additional gameplay as well as a good strategy setup.

Armed with the potential and features included, it is not surprising that this map will appear in many competitive matches in the future. So, for Vicigers who really want to go pro, you really need to be fluent in this map!

Details, Gameplay, Rotation and Movement Map Abyss

The discussion starts from the gameplay aspect, Abyss itself has the objective of Spike planting and defusing. Like maps of this type in general, there will be two sites (A/B) that the attacking team can use.

When categorized, Abyss appears as folder the next three lanes, following Lotus and Haven. Equipped with minor paths, this map provides quite complex rotation alternatives.

Even though the middle lane (mid) is not a planting location, the team that can secure this point will be able to excel and master the rotation.

Apart from that, the long position (the long path which is usually used as a crossfire location) is also in this mid section, specifically at the Site Library. It is not surprising that engagement and trade will often occur at this point.

As the eleventh map, Riot has also equipped Abyss with various parkour elements. There are also many gaps, steps and spots that can be used for camping or dodging.

If combined and used well, this can make it easier for players to do ganking or flanking. This kind of playstyle is indeed one of the metas currently being pushed by the devs.

So, the recommended agents that are suitable for this map are of course those that have agile movement and rotation capabilities. Some of them include Jett, Omen, Raze, and Neon.

With various skills (active and passive) and high rush capabilities, these agents can dominate and maximize various drifting and gliding spots for lurking purposes.

As a result, the player's position will not be known by the enemy and their negligence can be exploited! Strat like this will be very surplus in maps like Abyss!
