Revamp Phoveus MLBB Original Server

After Moonton I've been experimenting for a long time on the Advance Server regarding the best mechanics for this 'goa' fighter, finally revamping it Phoveus officially entered the Original Server.

Phoveus New Mechanic Details

Even though Phoveus' skill variants haven't changed much, the gameplay and mechanics offered by this hero feel very different. In the past, this hero was prioritized for countering meta blink.

The 'sat-set' heroes, especially Assassins, will have difficulty penetrating when Phoveus is present. Like it or not, they will 'walk' and be reluctant to use their skills.

However, for teamfight purposes, the previous Phoveus was less reliable. The reason is because the hero's ultimate mechanic is difficult to control and can only target heroes who blink.

Well, the revamp that he implemented this time actually made him a fighter who likes to wage war!

With the help of skill combos, the 'pilot' Phoveus can more easily target any enemy hero.

Eits, then that doesn't mean the fighter will immediately become meta. Even though this revamp has turned him into a relatively sustainable war hero, Phoveus is still not overpowered (OP).

The damage produced by each hit of the Ulti does not feel significant, especially towards the mid and late game. Compare this with Julian, who can provide consistent damage throughout the match.

Not only that, the regen capacity provided to him through the revamp this time is not too heavy - much different from passive skills Helcurt which makes it look like he is wearing the Guardian Helmet.

Like it or not, Phoveus still needs the existence of a 'body' if it wants to be sustainable. Even though the heroes Exp. meta now (like Terizla or Yu Zhong) can defend alone against 3-4 people if necessary!

Phoveus Revamp Skill and Combo

Explanation of Phoveus skills

Let's immediately get into the main discussion regarding skills and combos. Make sure you read it slowly so you can really understand!

Explanation of skills

  • Passive – Demonic Force

This new aspect of the passive removes Phoveus' mana requirement and replaces it with a purple bar. Every time the purple bar is full, Phoveus' basic attack will expand and can hit the target (like Alucard's pulley mechanic).

Additionally, his anti-blink passive (Astaros Eye) is now also a mark (Sinner's). The effect is slightly changed: every time a hero blinks, this will increase Phoveus' purple bar and reduce the cooldown (CD) of his skill.

  • Skill 1 – Demonic Impact

This is Phoveus' main damage skill. Can cause slowness and if hit twice can also leave a Sinner's Mark.

  • Skill 2 – Dark Wave

Phoveus' crowd control skill and main combo. Every enemy hit will be airborne and drawn closer to Phoveus and receive a Sinner's mark.

  • Ultimate Skill – Infernal Pursuit

Just like before, Phoveus will fly and jump to hit the hero targets. But instead of the hero who blinks, the one being hit now is the hero who has the Sinner's Mark.

Not only that, this Ulti Skill is also now CD-free! The fighter can continue to Ulti, as long as you can leave Sinner's Mark on these heroes.

Combo Skills

So that Phoveus can continue to activate Ulti without CD, you have to do the correct combo. That way, you can keep attaching Sinner's Mark.

Unlike other heroes, Phoveus relies heavily on his passive skills to be able to do combos. First, make sure Phoveus' purple bar is full. Then target the enemy hero using a basic attack.

If it fits, the enemy will get the Sinner's Mark. Continue by giving Skill 1 and make sure it hits.

Then as long as the mark is still there, aim Ulti at the opponent. This ulti will restore the mark.

While waiting for CD Skill 1, give Skill 2. This will immediately leave a mark on the affected opponent. Spam again as many ulti marks as there are marks left on your opponent.

The more opponents who are marked by Skill 2, the more opportunities there will be to spam Ulti! If it's finished, remember you already have Skill 1 savings.

So, do Skill 1 again! On this second hit, you will leave a mark again, and follow it up with another Ulti. Repeat this combo continuously and your opponent won't be able to hold Phoveus!
