Perform resets PS4 Reverting to factory settings is a fairly easy process. Usually a factory reset is done as a last resort to ensure the system continues to run properly.
However, before you reset your PS4 to factory settings, you must first back up all storage data.
Because resetting to factory settings will erase all the data you have from the system. If you don't back up your storage data, it will make you have to start the game from the beginning.
To back up data, you can use the cloud, but that requires you to have a PlayStation Plus account, which will give you 100GB of storage space.
However, if you are not a PlayStation Plus member, you can use a flash drive to copy the save.
There are two ways to reset PS4 to factory settings, namely from the console dashboard or in Safe Mode if your console is having boot-up problems.
Relax, we will discuss both here. The following are instructions for performing a factory reset on PS4.
