Ranma 1/2 2024: Voice Cast, Broadcast Schedule and Synopsis

On July 17 2024, it was officially announced regarding the release of an anime remake entitled Ranma 1/2. During the event it was also announced who would be the main voice actors.

For those who don't know, Ranma 1/2 is an old anime that aired in 1989. And 35 years later, to be precise in 2024, this anime is back for you to enjoy.

List of Main Voice Actors for Ranma Anime 1/2

A number of seiyuu or voice actors from the first anime version are again trusted to play a role in this remake version. Some of them are Kappei Yamaguchi as Ranma Saotome, Megumi Hayashibara as Ranma, and Noriko Hidaka as Akane Tendo.

The series was directed by Konosuke Uda, who is best known for his work on the early episodes One Piece . Hiromi Taniguchi from Delicious in Dungeon will was responsible for the series' character designs. Meanwhile, Japanese composer Kaoru Wada is behind the background music.

Later the anime will be produced by MAPPA This will be broadcast on Japanese TV, namely Nippon Television on October 5 2024 and will be broadcast on Netflix the next day.

Meanwhile, the opening song will be performed by soloist Ano. However, until now it is not yet known what song title will be used as the anime's OST.

Ranma Anime Story 1/2

This anime tells the story of a teenage boy named Ranma Saotome who has martial arts skills after practicing since childhood.

Ranma is known to have a fiancée named Akane Tendo from the dojo where he trains. However, Ranma's daily life is always filled with feuds with Akane.

One day, Ranma was cursed while undergoing training in China. Where he received a curse to be able to change gender to become a woman if he was exposed to cold water. And Ranma can turn back into a man if he is splashed with hot water.

This anime itself will focus on Ranma trying to escape the curse. Later he will be helped by his friends, such as Akane, Nabiki, and Shampoo.
