4. RAM Memory and Internal Storage

The Poco F3 still has the same 2 memory variants as the Poco F2 Pro, namely 6/128GB and 8/256GB.

The internal storage on this cellphone is also supported by UFS 3.1 technology, which will increase the transfer rate performance read & write This cellphone will be much different, faster than UFS 2.1/2.2 technology.

As usual, the F series variant on Poco is the same as the Mi series variant on Xiaomi, which does not have an additional/hybrid slot for embedding a microSD.

5. Camera

Source: GSMArena

This section is indeed the most visible difference from the previous Poco F2 Pro series. Poco F3 has a design that almost resembles Mi 11. It can be seen clearly in the main camera design setup.

But different from the Mi 11, which places the selfie camera in the upper left corner (opposite direction), the Poco F3 pins the selfie camera in the top center of the screen.

This time, the Poco F3 no longer uses a selfie camera pop-up system like the Poco F2 Pro. We also feel that it seems like the pop-up camera feature is not really needed at the moment, instead it seems more complicated than the selfie camera that is on the screen.

It looks like Poco wants to cut costs by only embedding 3 camera modules on the main camera, and again, just like the fate of the Poco X3 Pro, which experienced a decrease in resolution in the main camera sector compared to the previous series, the Poco F3 also experienced the same thing.

When compared to the Poco F2 Pro, which has a setup of 4 camera modules, 64MP main camera, 5MP macro camera, 13MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP depth sensor. Poco F3 is only supported by 3 camera modules with specifications, 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, and 5MP macro camera, without a depth sensor camera.

Can you see a drop in the camera specs? But hopefully, the shots/videos provided by the Poco F3 camera aren't too disappointing, at least it's the same as the results of the Poco F2 Pro camera. Hoping for better? Yes, it might happen, but I'm sorry, Vicigers, we haven't got any info yet whether the camera sensor used by the Poco F3 is the same/better/below the camera sensor of his sister.

Now, for selfie camera matters, this cellphone provides better specifications on paper than its younger sibling, even though with the same resolution.

Both have a 20MP resolution on the selfie camera, but the Poco F3 has a larger lens aperture (f/2.5) than the Poco F2 Pro (f/2.2). The Poco F3 should be able to provide better selfie camera results than its younger sibling because it is supported by a large aperture lens so it can capture more light.

6. Connectivity and Sensors

The connectivity and sensors on this cellphone are practically identical to the previous series. However, if the fingerprint sensor on the Poco F2 Pro is embedded in the screen (under display, optical), on this cellphone the fingerprint sensor is placed side-mounted/ beside the body.

Then, it seems that for NFC connectivity, it's not like the Poco F2 Pro, which has fixed this feature. This cellphone is not certain to get the NFC feature, because Xiaomi buried this feature depending market/region dependent.

Oh, even the barometer sensor is absent on this cellphone, but this time Xiaomi has buried the sensor color spectrum to support the camera to get color results that match the original.

7. Battery

This sector also experienced a decrease in capacity from the previous series. Now the Poco F3 has to be content with only having a 4520mAh battery embedded. The 180mAH difference is actually from the Poco F2 Pro, it doesn't really matter.

However, this cellphone has a shorter charging time than the Poco F2 Pro, which only takes about 52 minutes to fully charge the 100% battery with the help of a 33 Watt charger head that supports QC (QuickCharge by Qualcomm).

One thing, unfortunately this cellphone is not yet supported by wireless charging technology, like the Mi 11.

8. Price

If the current price for the SRP Poco F2 Pro is IDR 6,999,000 for the 6/128GB variant, and IDR 7,999,000 for the 8/256GB variant for the Indonesian market. So for the Poco F3, this cellphone has a much more affordable price in the global market.

It is priced at USD 349, so when converted to rupiah, this cellphone for the cheapest 6/128GB variant costs only 5 million rupiah.

Isn't it quite far from the difference with the Poco F2 Pro? Still hoping that Poco F3 will enter Indonesia officially? Let's wait for the announcement tomorrow, April 20 2021, whether Poco X3 Pro will come alone or come accompanied by Poco F3.
