Pixel 6 Allegedly Will Support Ultra-Wideband (UWB)

Pixel 6 Allegedly Will Support Ultra-Wideband (UWB)

The launch of the Pixel 6 is getting closer, it is estimated that this cellphone will be exhibited at the Google I / O 2021 event.

It has been widely rumored that the Pixel 6 will later be embedded with features like those brought by the iPhone 11 and 12 series, as well as the last several Ultra series from Samsung.

You know what features? Yes, according to the title of the article, it is rumored that UWB or Ultra Wideband will be introduced later on the Pixel 6.

Mishaal Rahman from XDA Developers and the 9to5Google team have heard that the Google Pixel 6 could eventually come with UWB capabilities.

You must be curious, right, what is UWB? The problem is that this feature has not been found on mainstream HP. Even though we are sure that many of you have also used the iPhone 11 and 12 series, as well as the latest Ultra version of the Samsung Galaxy, you still don't realize that your smartphone has the UWB feature embedded?

Pixel 6 supports UWB, Ultra-Wideband what the heck?

UWB is a wireless technology based on radio waves or a short-range communication protocol similar to wifi or bluetooth. This feature allows your devices to be connected to each other with a high degree of precision.

The difference with wifi and bluetooth, this UWB feature is able to transfer data between devices over long distances and also detects its position accurately, and this feature also doesn't consume much power at all.

Apart from appearing on all iPhone 11 and 12 series, you can find this UWB feature on several other devices, including the latest Samsung Galaxy Ultra series models, as well as the Apple AirTag tracker which launched globally a few days ago, as well as the Galaxy Smart Tag +.

FYI, the Galaxy Smart Tag, which is equipped with the UWB feature, is only the plus (+) series, because the regular Galaxy Smart Tag series is only supported by Bluetooth LE technology.

UWB is coming to Pixel 6 or is Google planning to make Pixel Tracker a competitor to Apple AirTag?

In fact, if you read the threads written on XDA Developers and 9to5Google about this UWB. Both are of the opinion that UWB technology is completely unsuitable for appearing on the Pixel 6.

Because there is no official information from Google about this, if Google doesn't plan to embed UWB on the Pixel 6, maybe Google is planning to create a Pixel-based rival for tracker devices like the Apple AirTag.

But, again, that's all just our opinion, Vicigers. Until this point, there is no indication that Google is working on a tracking device of its own to compete with Apple's recently launched device.

In our opinion, it makes sense for Google to embed UWB support on the Pixel 6. Because this technology has also started to appear on most Android flagship phones and on the last few iPhone series.

This UWB feature has many potential uses in relation to SmartHome connectivity and augmented reality, which are currently becoming the talk of the town.

Several rumors about the Google Pixel 6 are now starting to emerge fast and fast towards the middle of 2021, like strongly hinting that the official launch of this cellphone is on its way.

So far we have heard that Google may be working on its own chipset for their smartphone and may be using other smartphone brands as well.

Other rumors also state that the Pixel 6 will be equipped with an XL variant which has larger dimensions.

So are you guys looking forward to the arrival of the Pixel 6 series family? If possible, the Pixel 6 model will have more than one series, such as the Pixel 6a, Pixel 6 XL, or the 5G variant.

Actually, we hope that the entire Pixel 6 series will be embedded with the 5G network as default. But let's just wait for other information leaks, and let's also wait for the Google I/O event starting from May 18, which is rumored to be informing several new things from Google.

How about Vicigers, after hearing this information, are you still patient with having to buy the latest Google Pixel without official warranty support? Hopefully in the near future Google will be moved to officially enter the Pixel series into Indonesia, Amen!
