Unlock the True Ending

After finding Captain Olimar, you will open two new stages. You will get access to the Giant's Hearth area and you can visit the Primordial Thicket. 

Here you can begin the process of healing Oatchi, which will be key if you want to see the actual ending of the game. 

Apart from that, you can also get Black Onions and Pink Onions in this bonus stage, which are needed to harvest Rock Pikmin and Winged Pikmin respectively.

Completed the Olimar Shipwreck Tale

Completing Pikmin 4 will also unlock side quests, namely Olimar Shipwreck Tale. 

In game modes In this case, you must collect all thirty ship parts in just fifteen days or less, and can only use Red, Blue, and Yellow Pikmin. 

Dolphin parts can be found in the first four stages of the game, with seven parts in Sun-Speckled Terrace and Hero Hideaway, and eight parts in Blossoming Arcadia and Serene Shores.

Complete the Trial of the Sage Leaf

If you have completed Olimar Shipwreck Tale, then you can complete the Trial of the Sage Leaf mission. 

This trial consists of ten unique Dandori Challenges, each with its own theme and tasks. 

Completing all ten trials will grant players Garlic and Purple Onions, which are necessary to cultivate White Pikmin and Purple Pikmin. 

Additionally, you will also be able to access the cave where this challenge takes place from the Rescue Command Post.

Find Every Salvage, Onion, and Treasure

After you finish Pikmin 4, you can also return to several previous areas. 

Later, completing certain tasks will give you prizes in the form of special skills and items, including Oatchi's Infinite Rush skill and the Plucking Whistle Lab item. 

Between the four main stages and two bonus stages, there are 45 castaways, 22 Onions and Flarlics, and more than 200 treasure.

Complete All Side Missions

You'll likely tick off the game's many side missions on your way to earning 100% in each stage and unlocking all of Pikmin 4's completion rewards.

But there are some additional missions that must be triggered from the Rescue Command Post after certain Castaways have been rescued. 

Here you can take part in the Night Expedition or repeat the previously completed Battle of Dandori to get a Platinum medal. 

Once you have done everything, you can be said to have completed Pikmin 4 in its entirety.
