This one game is definitely a mandatory lineup for football fans, not only in Indonesia, but also on many continents. Yes, PES 2012 is one of the most important milestones in the history of human sports gaming.

Which round skin lover doesn't recognize it? A true football fan must have extraordinary skills in playing this game!

As a sports simulation game, this game franchise can quench its thirst to graze in various prestigious world competitions, tournaments and leagues without having to become a professional player first.

So true! PES which stands for Pro Evolution Soccer, one of the most played gaming installation franchises. This is also inseparable from the popularity of the 'team' sport itself.

But just piggybacking on big names from football alone will never be enough to deliver a simulation game to the peak of glory in this industry.

With the intense competition that exists, a simulation game must be able to present a truly real, immersive, and representative gaming experience.

As a result, the combination of the two is what makes PES so successful. So, in this nostalgic article, we will discuss this old school sports game.

That way, Vicigers, who was still too young and never had the chance to experience his prime, could understand even more. So, keep watching the presentation this time!

Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) is a series of soccer games developed and published by the Japanese game company: Konami. The series was first launched in 2001 and since then has become one of the most popular soccer games in the world.

If you look at the development tracking it has, this game itself was originally only intended for the Sakura country market alone. At that time the name that was stretched was 'International Superstar Soccer', released in 1994 for the platform made by Nintendo.

But along with the fame he got, this game was also released in other regions in various countries and even different continents. To compensate for the wider market, the name was changed to 'Winning Eleven'.

Yep, better known as WE, this franchise is the forerunner of the emergence of PES. Many think that PES is an evolution of WE, but what is more correct is that both are the same game. Only the names are distinguished according to their destination market.

This naming was used for the first time for an installation that was released in 2000 and was focused on the European market. But especially in Indonesia, PES just started to enter towards 2007's when the fever PlayStation 2 is at its highest point. It was this period that "ended" the WE era and shifted the soccer game fever towards PES installations.

PES 2012 is one of the successors of this franchise that is present on many platforms. First released in the latter half of 2011, PES 2012 presented so many advantages that at that time it could be considered superior compared to its competitors.

But if someone asks about the difference between WE 2012 and PES 2012, don't get me wrong! The reason is, as explained above, both are the same game.

Apart from the name, the difference only lies in the designation of the region. For this reason, various features in WE 2012 can also be found in the PES variant.

for in Indonesia itself, after the release of the 2007 installation and above, WE was already hard to find. Football fans will generally find it easier to install PES 2012 than WE

This was also due to the domination of the spread of pirated products in the Indonesian gaming market at that time. These criminals often pirate PES versions, instead of WE, which are considered old-fashioned. PES that is present is not in its original form, but in the MOD (modified) version.

On the one hand, this is an illegal act and is not something commendable. But on the other hand, this practice benefits Indonesian gamers who can access these games at more affordable prices.

In a way, this is what became the foundation for all of our gaming activities at that time – full of happy memories.

Thankfully, this practice has gradually started to disappear from the Indonesian gaming industry. The audience is getting used to buying original games rather than pirated ones.

So, avoid playing pirated games, Vicigers! Continue to support your favorite game developers and franchises by buying original products, especially if you are still a fan of the PES franchise until now!
