Vipers

Valorant Vipers

The American Chemist Viper means business in Valorant and has been a part of the Agents lineup since day one. Viper has many toxic devices and he is not afraid to use them.

There's a lot you need to know about the Viper, including its passive abilities. All of his abilities use fuel and his ability to apply Toxin causes the enemy's maximum health to instantly decrease.

Viper's basic abilities are Snake Bite and Poison Cloud. Snake Bite is a deterrent ability. The Viper shoots a canister that explodes when it hits the floor, creating a small pool of acid for 6.5 seconds.

Players who enter this pool will not only take damage, but become vulnerable for two seconds. Poison Cloud is a throwable grenade that emits toxic fumes the moment it hits the floor. It can be deactivated and thrown again.

Viper's signature ability is Toxic Screen. The Viper fires a long series of gas generators that can be activated at any time.

Doing so emits a long smokescreen of poison gas that will damage players who walk past it. It won't self-destruct and can be reused more than once, assuming you have enough fuel.

Viper's ultimate ability is Viper's Pit. Using this ability will cause the Viper to create a toxic cloud around it which reduces the enemy's range of vision and the maximum health of the players within.

The cloud will last as long as you are in it and will lose its integrity if you leave. Enemies entering the cloud will be marked red and easy to spot.

The Viper has some very useful capabilities that make it a must-choose for many casual and competitive teams. His Passive Toxin only makes his abilities so powerful.

Placing spikes and using Viper's Pit on them will make your opponent very difficult to tame. With a good mix of offensive and defensive skills, Viper is the best Controller in Valorant.

Omen is a puzzle unknown in Valorant that has been played since launch. No one knows who he is or where he's from, but he is one of the most fun Agents to play in the game.

He does all of his work in the shadows focusing on movement, sight blocking, and binding.

Omen's basic abilities are Covert Steps and Paranoia. Covert Step allows you to teleport short distances. Keep in mind that your enemies will hear a sound when you do this, so you'll need to make sure you teleport to cover.

Paranoia is a binding ability where Omen throws a dazzling ball that can go through walls. Players hit by the ball are blinded for 2.2 seconds.

Dark Cover is Omen's signature ability. You can place two smokes up to 80 meters from your current location, but the closer you are to the target area, the faster they will activate. These smokes will last for 15 seconds, so they aren't as good as Brimstone, but they will work.

Omen's ultimate ability is From The Shadows. It can be one of the best ultimate abilities in Valorant, if you use it right.

From The Shadows allows you to teleport to any location on the map. After 1.5 seconds, you must wait 2.4 seconds after arriving at the location before you can do anything. If you are hit during these 2.4 seconds, you will teleport back to your original location and lose your ultimate.

Omen is one of the better Controlling Agents in the game because of Covert Steps and Out of the Shadows. Successfully flanking the enemy with the Omen ulti is a great feeling.

Dark Cover is very useful in all situations, especially when combined with Shrouded Step. There are so many ways to play Omen, making him a versatile Agent in Valorant. Making Omen one of the favorite controller agents that many players play in Valorant.

Astra hails from Ghana and was added to Valorant during Act 2 Episode 2. He is the ruler of the cosmos, capable of using the stars to attack and defend. Making Astra the newest Valorant controller agent at the moment that you can play.

His iconic Astral form is where he does most of his damage and you'll need to master it if you want to dominate your opponents.

Astral form is an Astra's signature ability. This ability allows him to place stars and move around the map freely.

You are haunted in this form as you move, but your body will remain where you activated the ability, leaving you vulnerable.

Astra's basic abilities are Gravity Well, Nova Pulse and Nebula/Dissipate. Astra's Gravity Well ability can be one of the best abilities in the game in certain situations. This is crowd control ability.

Simply activate the stars you throw to create Gravity Wells, which trap players and leave them vulnerable.

Nova Pulse is another crowd control ability. By targeting the stars you place, Astra can stun enemies around it for four seconds.

Nebula/Dissipate is the ability to block vision. By targeting the stars you place, you can create a cloud of smoke. You can then remove it and move the star elsewhere.

You must be in Astral Form to use Astra's ultimate ability: Cosmic Divide.

The Cosmic Divide creates a beautiful starlight barrier that blocks bullets and greatly muffles audio. The barrier can be crossed, but you won't know what's on the other side.

Astra has some great capabilities. He can cast up to five stars which can be manipulated into smoke and crowd control abilities.

One thing Astra lacks is true offensive ability, but you can leave that up to the duelists. He is a great choice for a defender – make sure you pay attention to your star placement.

Brimstone

Brimstone

This Agent Controller, from the United States, is one of the original Agents in Valorant and, if there's one thing big guys love, it's fire.

He's a boot-on-the-ground agent who isn't blessed with magical powers like the others, but that doesn't necessarily limit his effectiveness. This agent will deal a lot of incendiary damage to the opposing team.

The Controller Agent has two basic abilities: Incendiary and Stim Beacon. Incendiary allows you to throw grenades that explode once they are placed on the floor. When it explodes, it creates a fire zone for 7.8 seconds which will damage players walking on it.

Stim Beacon has him throw the beacon on the floor for 12 seconds which gives players inside the zone a quick shot.

The big man's signature ability was Sky Smoke. Sky Smoke lets you place up to three smoke clouds to provide cover for your team in pre-plant and post-plant situations.

They took two seconds to land and lasted 19.25 seconds. The smoke from this agent lasts longer than any other agent in the game.

This Agent's ultimate ability, Orbital Strike, is one of the most powerful attacks in the game.

Orbital Strike allows you to fire a high damage attack at a chosen location, dealing heavy damage to everyone caught in it for 3.75 seconds. This is a great ability to use when opposing teams are grouped.

While this Valorant Controller Agent has some strong abilities, his overall playability is a bit lacking as none of his abilities enhance his mobility.

That being said, his Sky Smoke ability is the best for producing cover in Valorant and Orbital Strike is very strong. That makes it an Agent that can be used in all situations.
