Unlike its predecessor games such as Honkai Impact and Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail features turn-based gameplay.

What is the Honkai Star Rail Path?

The Path (or known as the Path) in the game Honkai Star Rail is said to be a collection of Imaginary energy. The strength of this energy is in line with the ideals of the character or figures who get this power.

This path is closely related to The Aeon (God or God figure in the game) where the Aeons can use the path they like after the Aeon's ascension as God. and connected to it for the rest of their existence.

One is considered to be on the Path when one's wish is fulfilled and will gain power. The term for characters who have these powers are called Pathstriders.

According to VCGamers, the use of knowing the Path in the Honkai Star Rail game is very important.

That's because the Path will greatly determine the class or role of the character you play later.

Unlike its predecessor game, namely Genshin Impact or Honkai Impact 3rd, the character gameplay system from Honkai Star Rail will be influenced by 2 things, namely Path and Elements.

Honkai Star Rail Path Types and Character Examples

In the story there are a total of 14 Paths that exist in the Honkai Star Rail game world each with its own Aeon and followers.

However, a total of only 7 Paths currently exist in the characters that you can play.

Paths that have been mentioned but no playable characters are: The Trailblaze, The Voracity, The Elation, The Beauty, The Propagator, The Enigmata, and The Remembrance.

Meanwhile, the 7 Paths that already have playable characters are: The Destruction, The Hunt, The Preservation, The Ambundance, The Erudition, The Nihility, and The Harmony.

The 7 Paths contained in the character will make the character have different talents and abilities.

The Destruction

Characters who follow the Path of The Destruction are said to have recklessness, anger, and destructive behavior.

Characters in this Path excel in attacking from the front or as the main character who attacks the enemy first. 

The Destruction is the strongest character's Path when fighting alone. That is, it is optimal for attacking specific weaknesses of the enemy. In other games, this class could be referred to as a Tanker.

Examples of characters that belong to The Destruction are: Blade, Arlan, Clara, Hook, and MC.

The Hunt

The Hunt's adherents are said to admire and possess determination, ruthlessness, and tenacious behavior.

In addition, it also has uniqueness. That is, it can provide critical DMG to a single target, you know.

Examples of characters that belong to The Hunt are Dan Heng, Seele, Sushang, and Yanqing.

The Preservation

The Preservation is the Path taken by the character of Those who have the nature of patience, sacrifice, and defensive behavior.

This path is intended for characters who have strong defense abilities so they can protect their teammates in various ways or as regular Shielders.

Examples of characters included in Path The Preservation are March 7th, Gepard, and the character that will be featured in the next update is Fu Xuan.

The Abundance

The characters in Path The Abundance are characters that have selflessness, altruism, and healing behavior.

The Abundance is the Path for characters who have the ability to heal injured allies, making them indispensable in long battles.

This path is the Healer class where the example character is Natasha, as well as the characters that will be present are Luocha and Bailu.

The Erudition

The Erudition Path is the Path for those who admire strategic thinking, logic and behavior.

Characters from this Path have multi-target AoE damage that can hit a large number of enemies.

Examples of characters included in Path Erudition are Serval, Jing Yuan, Herta, Himeko, and Qingque.

The Nihility

Those who follow the Path of "Nihility" admire laziness, fatigue, and meaningless behavior.

Characters from this Path will eliminate their enemies and gain an advantage by reducing the enemy's overall battle strength. This class can also be called as Debuffer or Nulifier.

Examples of characters included in Path The Nihility are Welt Yang, Sampo, Pela, and several upcoming characters such as Kafka and Silver Wolf.

The Harmonies

Characters in this Path are understanding, supportive, and cooperative.

Contrary to Path Nihility, Path Harmony characters will give buffs to increase battle power. This class is usually called support or Buffer.

Examples of characters included in Path The Harmony are Asta, Bronya, and Tingyun.
