Even though he is better known by his in-game name, Johnmar or OhMyV33Nus is an experienced gamer who has had a lot of experience in the gaming world.

Before arriving at the position of world champion in Mobile Legend with Blacklist International, he has played many game titles MOBA others, such as League of Legends (LoL), and Dota.

As a captain, he is able to direct his team members to build a solid setup. What's unique is that his flagship hero isn't a terrible lineup like other world champions.

Just look at EVOS on M1, which at that time managed to become a world champion by relying on Wannn's Harith. Or Lancelot the seasoned assassin as the hero chosen by Karltzy the courtier Brenn.

Both of them at that time were core/midlaner heroes who were so feared because of their ability to deal too much damage. But when Blacklist International won the M3 champion, the team's chosen hero was very unexpected.

Even though at that time the MVP M3 fell into the hands of OHEB with Beatrix as its signature hero, the team decided to drop the skin of their choice of M3 into the hands of the captain. Yes, he is considered to have been able to "carry" his team to the highest title.

In the end, the M3 Blacklist International skin went to OhMyV33Nus' mainstay hero, namely Estes. Yes, Estes! Heroes and roles that even then weren't meta and were rarely used in prestigious matches.

Popularizing Estes and Role Support

Prior to the rise of Blacklist International in MPL Philippines and their triumph at the world championships, role support rarely received much attention.

The pro-players seem to deny the existence of this role in their lineup.

The roam position itself is more often filled by tanks or various fighter initiators such as Chou or Ruby.

The lack of attention to role support is basically caused by the absence of players who are competent enough to explore these "uncharted" zones.

That's where the captain of the Blacklist is present. With his gameplay and the support his team has provided, his success in writing a name in M3 history has made this hero still a meta even now.

Until this article was written, players in the Land of Dawn still often encounter Estes as a banned subscription hero. This is even still going on in the Mythic Roman(VI) to Glory meta.

Apart from that, Blacklist International also patented the meta roam (tank/support) in the gold lane to accompany marksman (MM). The duet of Estes (OhMyV33Nus) and Beatrix (Oheb) at that time was really very difficult to overthrow.

Since then, we often see the presence of roam accompanying mm in the early-mid game phase. This is done until the mm is able to "stand alone" or until the objective turret in the gold lane collapses.

Blacklist International's performance on the M4

Even though the performance of the captain and his team looked as if they were without an opponent, many thought that they had reached the peak of their glory.

It's like the various flagship teams that always win: it won't last forever. This also happened to Blacklist International, especially in yesterday's M4 match.

Unexpectedly, the Blacklist fell in the final against their fellow ECHO team. The team that is identical to the dolphin logo managed to subvert the defending champion in such a landslide.

Their 4-0 score brought Blacklist International to its knees without reply. This ultimately convinced many people that Blacklist International's performance had begun to fade.
