Official NBA 2K25 Release Date, Don't Miss It!

Take-Two as the developer of the NBA 2K series has finally officially announced the release date for the sequel to their flagship sports franchise: NBA 2K25. Vicigers no need to wait any longer because it will be released in a matter of months!

As an on-going series that often gets updates and releases every year, NBA2K has a wide fanbase that won't get bored of buying the newest game, again and again! And if Vicigers one of them, just check it out!

NBA 2K Series

As a simulation game that provides experience of one of the sports most loved by the people of the United States, it is not surprising that this series is really selling well on the market.

Not only that, by having an official license from the most popular basketball league in the world: NBA, it is not surprising that public options will be limited and ultimately monopolized in this series.

Their only rival in basketball market share is the franchise created by developer EA Sports, entitled NBA Live. However, with the franchise currently experiencing a hiatus, the 2K series is now without competitors!

Starting with NBA 2K in 1999 for the Dreamcast console, actually a studio called Visual Concepts (VC) was the original developer of this game. The first six series were made for Sega consoles.

However, as time passed and Sega was reluctant to release a new console, Take-Two finally bought VC's shares: making VC a subsidiary of Take-Two.

NBA 2K25 Gameplay and Features

As a game that is part of an annual series, of course there will not be many changes to the gameplay or major features between one series and another adjacent series.

'Annual' games like this generally only emphasize updating content (which in this case is the transfer and replacement of players) as well as adding minor features only.

So the gameplay and features of NBA 2K25 are not too different from those of NBA 2K25 NBA 2K24. The existence of the "Create Your Own" menu to create your own dream player will most likely also appear again.

Not to forget, the Badges feature is also very relevant to be maintained even in future series (including NBA 2K25). However, what many fans complain about is of course the loss of the story line.

Many complain that NBA 2K24 does not include the College Tournament and immediately skips to the NBA Draft. These fans' complaints can be heard and taken into consideration for Take-Two to reappear.

You can still find the online-based "My Career" mode system which also includes a semi-open world traversal called 'The City'. So, don't be surprised if it feels more like DLC rather than a different installation.

NBA 2K25 Release Date

Now coming to the main discussion, namely the NBA 2K25 release date. Through the trailer released on July 12, Take-Two also announced when the newest series of the Basketball franchise will be officially released.

This trailer can be seen on the official PlayStation YouTube channel. Duration 30 seconds, fixed release date and pre-orders can be accessed now.

Reporting from the official page, this game will be released on September 6 2024. And like the previous series, this game will also have a multiplatform format. Meanwhile, pre-orders for NBA 2k25 will start on July 10, 2024

This means all prev consoles. and current gen. will get it, be it PlayStation (4 & 5), Xbox (One & Series X/S), Nintendo Switch and Windows.
