Moonton Acts Up! Now Draft Picks Can Ban 10 Heroes

Recently we were presented with several updates from Moonton. One of them is a change to the Draft Pick system.

The newest Hero tire system is currently only available on Advance Server Mobile Legends. With this change in Draft Pick, it is hoped that it will be easier for players to choose Heroes and Hero tires.

This hero ban can be a double-edged sword because we don't know what the opponent is banning. Vice versa. How is the system? Check out the following explanation!

Before the Ban Phase

Before this Ban Phase, you will be presented with a map display along with several roles, each of which fills a lane. In this phase you can show your performance in that role, this aims to let the team know our best performance in what role.

You can also still show history, by changing the switch in the table to the right of the map image. This phase will last for 18 seconds before entering the Ban Hero phase.

For example, if you are playing jungler for 14 matches with a Win Rate of 72%, you can show off or ask the team to play a Hero with that role.

Phase Tire Hero

In this phase, your team can ban 5 heroes and the opposing team can ban 5 heroes. In total, 10 heroes will be banned in this match.

Note that the 10 heroes who are banned are different from the heroes who are banned by the opposing team. In this tire phase you are given around 39 seconds for Hero Tires.

Each player on the team can ban one hero each. The Hero tire request feature is also not removed so that you and your team can maximize the draft.

For example, if your team is banned Angela, Valir, Estes, Lolita, and Kufra. Then the opposing team banned Rafaela, Martis, Saber, Novaria, and Kufra. Now, from this ban, you can see that there is 1 Hero who was equally banned by both parties, namely Kufra. So in total, only 9 heroes were banned in this match.

Hero Selection Phase

In this selection phase you can choose a hero as usual like on the Original Server, but the difference here is that you can see the map in the first phase and can display your performance with that role.

This aims to enable the team to find out the best performance in Roles What. You can also still show history, by changing the switch in the table to the right of the map image.

To display the map, you can click on the map at the bottom right next to the 5th hero. This selection phase will run for 34 seconds.

Draft picks taking less time?

Does the Draft Pick Phase take longer? Of course, because with the ban system this time you don't need to request what hero to ban, then slots 3, 4 and 5 will ban the hero.

In this system you only think about the main counter of the hero you want to use, for example if you want to pick Fanny, you can immediately ban the main counter of this Hero, namely Kufra. If you feel like you don't have enough Kufra tires, you can still request Saber or Moskov tires.

With the role request system for heroes, now the team can better understand your best performance. So you don't need to fight over roles or show off the win rate for each hero in that role.

In terms of efficiency, this will reduce the time you need to think as a team about what Hero to choose, and understand better when you play solo. In the Hero tire phase, even though there are more Hero tires than before, you don't need one tire at a time for Hero tires.

Although in the first phase before the hero ban phase a few seconds are added to show the role. So it is estimated that the duration is the same as the previous hero ban on the original server.

You need to know that this hero tire system is still in the testing phase from Moonton. We don't know whether this will be optimal when implemented on the Original Server. Let's just wait for the next update.
