In this article, we will show Clash Squad vs Battle Royale mode on Free Fire to see which one is better at Free Fire.
What is Battle Royale Mode in Free Fire?
History
Free Fire is part of the best Battle Royale (BR) games in 2016 and 2017, after PUBG was released. Garena takes inspiration from PUBG and makes their own twists from time to time.
Initially, the BR mode in Free Fire was just a general clone of PUBG, with the only changes being a lower number of players per match and a smaller play zone.
BR leads to faster matches and lower graphics requirements. Its rival is PUBG Mobile which is quite heavy, but Free Fire can be played on almost all potato cellphones.
Further customization such as character skills and skins that provide bonus stats are added to FF. This allows you to customize your own character and create builds.
Originally, the skill was very weak, giving it barely any value. But in the end the skills of each character in FF are very useful. Since then, Garena has released several good characters such as Alok and Chrono.
The Gameplay
In the Free Fire battle royale mode, 50 players enter an airplane that flies over an island. There are 3 maps to choose from, Bermuda, Purgatory and Kalahari.
You can jump from the plane whenever you want, landing anywhere on the map. There are three variants of the Battle Royale mode: Solo, Duo and Squad (4 people). Squad Variant is the official tournament format in Free Fire.
Once you hit the ground, you'll need to find weapons and utility items. There are many things to choose from and use. Various weapon classes, melee weapons, grenades, armor and helmets.
Similar to PUBG, the play zone also shrinks every few minutes, forcing you to fight against each other. The last one standing is Booyah! And be a winner.
Each map has its own special tools such as zip lines and oil barrels. Various types of vehicles are also scattered in various regions. You can also summon chests of powerful weapons like in PUBG.
What is Clash Squad Mode in Free Fire?
History
Since the battle royale mode is very time consuming, you can get bored after a while. Garena tried to solve the situation by introducing Clash Squad, a team deathmatch (TDM) style mode.
Clash Squad was originally just an experiment, but Garena decided to add it permanently after the positive response from fans.
The Gameplay
While the battle royale mode is based on the standard survival-to-win formula, Clash Squad mode is a completely different experience. Clas Squad is a 4vs4, round-based game mode.
You are divided into two teams, Warbringers and Howlers. There are a total of 7 rounds each match, the first team to win 4 rounds is the winner.

Clash Squad vs Battle Royale Mode on Free Fire, Which is Better?
Clash Squad is a more intense shooting experience, with players buying the same weapons and fighting each other as a team in small areas. Individual aiming skills and teamwork are very important in this mode.
The shortest match of Clash Squad lasts only 4 rounds. You can play this mode in a short time, unlike the Battle Royale mode.
On the other hand, the Battle Royale mode is considered the “main” mode of Free Fire, where many new features are added. Strategy is more important than skill in Battle Royale.
Unlike Clash Squad, your goal in Battle Royale isn't to kill everyone. You just need to survive until the end of the game. Turning around, choosing the landing zone, hiding and protecting teammates is very important.
