5 Unreleased Minecraft 1.20 Mobs

Minecraft enchantments

There are lots of mobs Minecraft which were added in development but never added to the game for real.

The Minecraft 1.19 update has added four new monsters to the game, which in turn feature their own unique mechanics. Their addition shows just how impactful the new mob additions in Minecraft updates can be.

However, Mojang rarely adds Minecraft mobs, and there are still many mobs that are not used in the game files.

In this article, VCGamers will list 5 unreleased Minecraft mobs that Mojang should add to Minecraft 1.20.

List of Unadded Minecraft Mobs

In the game's latest update, there are several mobs that haven't been added and should be there to make the game even more exciting.

Moobloom

taiga

Mooblooms are a buttercup colored variant of mooshroom. It was part of Minecraft's mass voting in 2020 but in the end, lost to Glow Squid.

They will lay their eggs in the flower forest and interact with the bees in a number of ways. Adding mooblooms to the flower forests and meadows will further enhance these biomes.

Its body is yellow with large white spots scattered all over its body and head. It had two large black eyes, like a mooshroom. It had 4 buttercups growing from it, with three on its back, and one on its head.

It has a white muzzle, dark gray muzzle, and gray horns. Exclusively, Mooblooms will leave a trail of buttercups as they walk, making them a renewable source for yellow dye.

Iceologist

Ice

Iceologer is a hostile villager who can summon ice. This is also one of the sound options in Minecraft vote 2020, similar to Moobloom. Iceologer is called Chillager in Minecraft: Dungeons.

His attack is called "Ice Block" - it summons a cloud of ice that hovers over the player. When falling, the player will be hit by a Stun and Slowness Effect for a few seconds.

Overall, having more dangerous monsters in Minecraft survival is always a good thing, especially magic casters like Iceologer.

Illusionary

Illusionary

Illusionaries are unused hostile illager mobs equipped with bows. They were added in Java Edition 1.12 but can only be spawned via /summon. Apparently, Mojang has plans for them to spawn and take part in future raids.

Illusions attack players with their bows and conjure illusions/clones of themselves when a player gets too close for their bows to be effective.

Furthermore, they become invisible for 60 seconds when using this ability. Illusions can deal damage and invulnerability, players must find real mobs to defeat them.

In Minecraft, there are some monsters that are available in the game code but cannot spawn naturally. The Illusionary is one of the pesky few mobs that was never added to the full game. However, with the help of commands, players can summon illusions.

Copper Golems

Golems

The Copper Golem will be a small Minecraft mob like a robot made with copper. It will be attracted to copper studs, which will also come with the golem if it wins.

Mojang should definitely consider adding it back to Minecraft in a future update, as its ability to trigger redstone tools can be useful in many builds.

Similar to copper blocks, copper golems are also affected by oxidation. Players need to remove occasional oxidizers with an ax or the mobs will turn into statues.

Copper Golems don't seem as helpful as an alley, but copper is very easy to find and has several applications so this mob is likely to get a lot of votes.

Plus, golems are such a great part of Minecraft and so much fun to craft and build that adding another one sounds like a really good option.

This won't protect like the iron golem, but will also give the player a new item: a copper button. This item may or may not enter the game if the copper golem does not, but if the player wants the item, they must try to select the golem.

glare

Minecraft mobs
Tadpole

The Glare will be a small, ghost-like mob that will be able to alert players to areas that are dark enough for enemy mobs to spawn. It will be the perfect support tool when exploring deep and dark locations such as caves and mine shafts. .

Glare is the first candidate for Minecraft Mobs Vote 2022. They are a small, adorable, green mob that likes to visit dark areas where enemy entities can appear.

Glare will be a mob with two types of behavior. In a well-lit area, it will show its cute and healthy side. But under the cover of a dark area, Glare will turn grumpy and tell players that monsters can spawn him.

Mojang will be releasing the second part of the Caves and Cliffs update in a few months and finally adding the much awaited cave biome. While the lush caves and pitch-dark caves have unique mobs, the dripstone caves are pretty quiet. Glare can fill this void.
