Minecraft is a big game with lots of hidden mechanics. There are quite a number of them that players can take advantage of, however, which usually requires a lot of trial and error.

Minecraft Game Secrets 1.19

Minecraft has been in active development since its original creator, Notch, first conceptualizing it in May 2009. Since then, the game has received consistent updates. With 13 years of updates, the game boasts one of the longest development cycles in the gaming industry.

Given the many game mechanics and combinations, most players are unlikely to be aware of every feature and in-game content in Minecraft. Below are some interesting but lesser known Minecraft features.

Get Better Enchantment On Items

This trick takes advantage of the easy-to-enchant property of gold tools in Minecraft. Before enchanting an item or tool, players must acquire a gold tool of the same type in their inventory.

For example, if they wanted to wield a netherite sword, they would also have to obtain a golden sword. This means the trick won't work with tools that don't have a gold variant like the Trident.

In the enchanting UI, simply place the gold items into the enchanting table first to generate better enchantments due to gold's enchantability.

After that, move the tool that the player wants to enchant into the slot. This ensures the enchanting UI is not reset, allowing players to get better enchantments.

Minecraft has very interesting farming mechanics. If there are multiple rows of the same plant next to each other, a penalty is applied to the growth speed of all the plants.

This means that players must ensure that there are alternate rows of crops on their farm to maximize growth speed.

Leaving the blocks alone as grass won't work either. Unless there are different crops or empty farmland next to the row of crops, a penalty will be applied.

Increase Plant Growth

Minecraft's farming mechanics are a bit odd. If there are multiple rows of the same crop next to each other, a penalty will be applied to their growth speed. This is why players should plant at least 2 types of crops in their fields to maximize growth speed.

In addition, bees can be used to accelerate plant growth by pollinating. After collecting pollen from flowers, bees visually drop pollen particles as they return to their hive or hive.
