Comparison of MG3 Vs DP-28 PUBG Mobile

The new update also features a new LMG weapon called the MG3. The weapon uses 7.62mm ammunition. This weapon is one of the best replacement weapons for the DP-28 in the game.

Base Damage

In the PC version, the developer nerfed all of these weapon stats. However, it's still OP. But DP-28 PUBG Mobile still has higher base damage than this new LMG airdrop.

MG3's base damage is only 40 while DP-28 is 51 on DP-28 even though it uses the same type of bullet. Then, DP-28 won this round in the comparison between MG3 vs DP-28 PUBG Mobile.

Rate Of Fire

Even though PUBG Mobile's iconic LMG DP-28 has higher base damage, its lower rate of fire still makes it weaker. It could fire 550 rounds per minute (RPM).

This state is lower than that of the MG3 in its default and full auto firing modes. The MG3's rate of fire is 660 RPM in default mode and 990 RPM in full-auto mode, which is much higher than PUBG Mobile's DP-28 rate of fire.

DPS & Ammo Capacity

With high hit damage, the DP-28 PUBG Mobile can make the target lose 467.5 HP/s. This is slightly higher than the MG3's DPS in default firing mode (440 HP/s). However, in full-auto mode, the DPS of the new MG3 weapon reaches 660 HP/s.

That makes this LMG stronger in this firing mode. Also, the MG3 can hold 75 bullets per load while the ammo capacity of DP-28 PUBG Mobile is 48. Neither of these guns support additional mags.

The first factor is damage per hit. The newly introduced MG3 has an average base damage of 40 hitpoints. The DP-28 has much better damage per hit than 51 hitpoints.

So the DP-28 is the winner with more damage. You can knock or finish enemies much faster with more bullets dealing damage.

Bullet Speed 

MG3 has a higher muzzle speed than DP-28 PUBG Mobile. The initial velocity of the bullet is 820 m/s. Then, the MG3 bullet will reach the target earlier.

In addition, it is also more accurate in long-range combat due to the higher bullet velocity. Therefore, if two players with both of these weapons fire simultaneously, the player with the MG3 can take down the enemy first.

Effective distance

The MG3 is not a good choice of weapon for long range combat due to its good vertical recoil. You'll have to readjust your crosshair frequently after each shot.

On the other hand, using the DP-28 PUBG Mobile is quite more stable. Therefore, many PUBG Mobile pro players choose this weapon for medium-range shooting.

Krafton offers multiple shooting modes in a variety of weapons. You can choose between single, auto and burst modes in the PUBG update. Both of these weapons only support automatic fire mode.
