University of Maryland has a Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology which houses the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. The department offers a Bachelor of Science degree program with a Game Development Track.

Students can take the Game Development Track after completing all the Computer Science Major and General Education Program requirements. After fulfilling these two requirements, students can take the track game development.
