Bethesda as the developer has confirmed that Fallout 5 will be released soon and they are working on it.

Even though it's been 7 years since the release of Fallout 4 and more than 3 years since its release Fallout 76, Bethesda does have a lot of other projects in the works at the moment.

Among others like the long-awaited Starfield, Bethesda is also working on a new Indiana Jones game.

Bethesda has confirmed that they have a one-page design document for Fallout 5, so the release date is just a matter of time for an official announcement.

The Fallout 5 game does not currently have a confirmed release date for any platforms officially. However, it is thought that a Fallout 5 release could happen in 2024.

As we mentioned earlier, Bethesda has confirmed that Fallout 5 is a project they are working on (to some extent).

This game will be available exclusively on Xbox and PC. Since Microsoft acquired Bethesda, the company plans to be the only console that can carry Bethesda games.

Starfield and Volume 6 have been described as Xbox exclusives. Unfortunately, it's likely that the game will not be made for the PlayStation.

Fallout games have previously been available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles as a whole, with Fallout 4 being offered standalone VR versions for HTC Vive, Windows Mixed Reality, and Valve Index.

Once again, there is no certainty regarding the release date of Fallout 5. Starfield is slated for the first half of 2023, and is certainly a priority for Bethesda right now.

After that, hope publishers start ratcheting up the hype for their next Elder Scrolls outing, The Elder Scrolls 6.

New Features in Fallout 5

The Karma system has been a mainstay feature in the Fallout series since Fallout 1, but it's one element that didn't make its way into Fallout 4.

It is possible that this feature will return to their 5th generation game.

According to some reports, Bethesda plans to work on the game after the completion of Elder Scrolls VI. This means that Fallout fans still have a lot of patience.

The reason is, now Bethesda already has a very large list of games. Currently they are also busy with Starfield which will be released in 2023.

Meanwhile, The Elder Scrolls VI itself is still in the early development stage. This means that Bethesda still needs several years before it can focus on developing the game.

Lastly, a big surprise for the Fallout franchise from Amazon Prime Video. Amazon and Bethesda are currently working on a film adaptation for Fallout.

Quoted from Howard, the game will begin active development after the release of Elder 6. Therefore, of course, Fallout fans still have to be patient because Elder Scroll 6 itself is still in the development stage and is expected to be released in 2026.
