Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE Design and Features Leaked

Samsung has consistently produced smartphones foldable since 2019. Until now, Samsung will release a luxury folding cellphone at an affordable price, namely the series Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 F.E.

The FE code on the Samsung Fold series stands for "Fan Edition". Information about the rumored release of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 FE was obtained from the South Korean technology site, ETnews, Sunday (17/3/2024). 

According to the site, Samsung will release the Galaxy Z Fold in two series options. The two series are the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Regular and Galaxy Z Fold FE (Fan Edition). 

Reportedly, the two cellphone series will have different features. The regular Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be accompanied by an S Pen feature. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE does not have this feature.

Indeed, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Fan Edition is a cheap version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. So some of these advanced features are not available on the Fold 6 FE to keep the price affordable.

The launch of a cheap version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 by Samsung is allegedly to face Chinese competitors who sell it foldable smartphones at a more affordable price.

In this way, Samsung will be safer in positioning itself to face market competition. Through the two Z Fold 6 Regular and Z Folde 6 FE, Samsung has reached two different market segments. 

According to rumors circulating, the Samsung Z Fold and Z Flip series will be introduced to the public at the Unpacked event in July or August 2024.

Appears Without S Pen

Quoting from ETnews, a South Korean online news site, informed that the Galaxy Fold 6 FE will be sold without the Samsung Pen. The reason for releasing the Fold 6 FE without the S Pen is aimed at cutting the selling price.

Even though the S Pen is actually also sold separately, you still can't use it on the Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 FE. 

Because on the Fold 6 FE screen there are no named sections digitizer, so that the S Pen cannot function and production costs can be reduced.  

The loss of the S Pen feature from the Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 FE does not reduce the luxury of this folding cellphone. In fact, the reduction in these features benefits consumers who want to have a luxury cellphone at a low price.

Absence digitizer on the screen and the reduction of the S Pen on the Galaxy Fold 6 FE may not be enough to cut the selling price of this product. 

It is possible that Samsung will also cut the selling price of this product by using a smaller chipset or screen. However, there is no definite information regarding this matter.

The Samsung Z Fold FE is a luxury cellphone, of course if the selling price is cheap there will definitely be several features that are different from the Regular Z Fold.

Design and Features of the Cheap Version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6

Apart from not having an S Pen slot, the 'lite' version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have a thinner design than its predecessor the Z Fold 5. 

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE is only 11mm thick when folded. While his predecessor, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a thickness of 13.4 mm when folded. 

Unfortunately there is no definite information regarding this System on Chip which will be used on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE. 

If you look at the predecessor of the Samsung Z Fold series cellphone, it is likely that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE will use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. 

This cheap version of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will also be equipped with three cameras. Possible resolution of the main camera is 200 MP complete with OIS image stabilization feature. 

If the Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE is released with these camera specifications, this cellphone will surpass its predecessor which was only 50 MP. 

Another leak is that this cellphone will have a body made of titanium material and have a battery capacity of 4600 mAh.

However, of course we have to wait for official information from Samsung regarding the design, features and release schedule of their newest cellphone.
