Lantern Rite Genshin Impact Guide 4.4

Genshin Impact is holding the game's biggest annual event, namely the Lantern Rite, in update 4.4.

Apart from introducing new characters Xianyun (5 stars) and Gaming (4 stars), you will also have the opportunity to get special skins from this event from the characters Ganyu, Shenhe, and Xingqiu.

Genshin Impact Event Lantern Rite Guide 4.4

The Lantern Rite event itself was held by Genshin Impact to coincide with the celebration of Chinese New Year or Chinese New Year.

After the release of the game, the Lantern Rite event in update 4.4 has become the 4th Lantern Rite event presented by this game made by Hoyoverse.

Like previous years, players will be presented with the main story of the event and various interesting mini games.

Main Story Quest Event Lantern Rite

The main story of this year's event centers on the new character released by Genshin Impact, namely Gaming.

There are four parts of the story that you can complete from the Lantern Rite which will take place from February 5 to February 26.

In a short story based on Lantern Rite with the title "Vibrant Harriers Aloft in Spring Breeze", you will help Gaming repair his relationship with his father.

Apart from that, you will have the opportunity to explore the newest area of Genshin Impact called Chenyu Vale.

Chenyu Vale itself is a tea producing place which has a mountainous landscape and tea gardens.

This place is still part of the Liyue region and is directly opposite Fontaine.

Mini Games Event Lantern Rite 4.4

Every year, Genshin Impact presents different mini games. Every mini game you play will be used to get rewards or prizes.

The round or stage you play will award you with points called Festive Fever.

The Festive Fever that you collect will later be able to be exchanged for prizes if it reaches a certain amount.

In Lantern Rite 4.4, here are 3 mini games that you can play:

Paper Shadows A-Foraging

Paper Shadows is a puppet theater game like wayang where you will help Guoba and Yuegui to get food ingredients to make dishes.

Simply put, this mini game is a puzzle game where you have to move Yuegui or Guoba to get ingredients with limited steps.

This game consists of 9 stages with increasing difficulty levels at each stage.  For example, picking locks to get materials, pushing boxes, and more.

Joyful Beasts and Their Auspices

The next mini game is a challenge against other players in PvP. You will "match" with other travelers randomly and will enter a room.

For a duration of around 1 minute on each stage, you have to fight other players to complete certain challenges.

There are 3 stages with different challenges, namely collecting coins, protecting coins which continue to decrease, and protecting the area.

You can reduce the coins that other players have collected by turning yourself into a Suanni or a large doll similar to a Barongsai.

When you are in Suanni form, you will have the power to attack players and make them bounce.

Iridescent Cloud-Striding

This last mini game is similar to Joyful Beasts and Their Auspices. The difference is, you will be invited to tour the Chenyu Vale area.

You have to collect as many points as possible from collecting lotus lanterns. 

Of course, this challenge will be made more difficult by testing your skills using the new mechanic presented in this area, namely Golden Carp's Leap.

Golden Carp's Leap is similar to the Four Sigil Leaf in Sumeru where you can use this mechanic to move to various areas. 

The difference is, this mechanic will help you to determine the target area more precisely and freely in any direction.

Lantern Rite Rewards

The prizes you get from Lantern Rite this year are the same as last year's Lantern Rite.

You will get a login prize for 7 days and exchange Festive Fever points.

The rewards you get include Intertwined Fate, Primogems, materials for character and weapon ascension, Talent books, and others.

You can also get 4 star Liyue characters including Gaming from Festive Fever that you collect.

Apart from that, this year you can get a free skin for the character Xingqiu.

You can get Ganyu and Shenhe skins at the shop using Genesis Crystals at a discount during the Lantern Rite.
