Kanae Kocho is a strong character who becomes a Hashira in the anime Demon Slayer. As Hana Bashira, Kanae has extraordinary strength. 

Shinobu's older sibling and Kanao Tsuyuri, unfortunately, was killed by Doma two years before Tanjiro's story began.

Kanae Kocho Interesting Facts

The following are interesting facts about Kanae Kocho, the flower Hashira who died while fighting the top 2 moon demon:  

Kanae is a Kind Hearted Character 

Before seeing Kanae speak, her gentle personality was already visible in her cool eyes. In a flashback scene showing Shinobu and Kanae, both of them always seem to be smiling happily. 

Kanae's soft heart is proven by her dream of living peacefully side by side with demons one day. Kanae doesn't care about the relationship between humans and demons in the past as long as one day they can live peacefully together. 

Even though in the current Demon Slayer story Kanae has died, her spirit still lives in Shinobu. 

Flower Breathing User 

Kanae Kocho is a Hasihra who uses the flower breathing technique. Even though they are sisters with Shinobu, the strengths of these two characters are very different. 

Even though it doesn't seem as powerful as other breathing techniques, before the end of her life Kanae managed to restrain the second rank moon demon Doma until sunrise.

Throughout her career as a demon slayer Kanae has killed at least 50 demons. Kanae is very powerful, unlike her sister who can't cut off a demon's head. 

Standard Nichirin User 

Different from Shinobu Kocho who uses a non-standard sword because of his small body, Kanae Kocho uses a standard sword like those used by hashira in general. 

Kanae's sword style combines aesthetic movements but is effective enough to kill demons. So the gentleness of this character is not only reflected in his ideals and eyes. Kanae is a strong character with a gentle fighting style, of course this is very contradictory Sanemi Shinazugawa. 

Has a Tragic Past 

Kimetsu no Yaiba characters never free from the tragic past. Kanae's childhood with Shinobu was very beautiful. 

Both were born into rich, loving families. However, this happiness did not last a lifetime because both of their parents were killed by the devil. 

Kanae and Shinobi's parents died trying to protect them both from demons. When it was Kanae and Shinobu's turn to be devoured by the devil, Gyomei Himejima came to save them. 

Symbol of Hope and Sacrifice

During her term of service, Kanae had an unwavering enthusiasm when carrying out her missions. So the Hashira consider Kanae as a symbol of hope and sacrifice. 

Kanae's courage and sacrifice continues to influence the Hashira and other living demon slayers. Kanae's presence implies the importance of sacrifice in the battle at hand.
