The 2022 IESF World Championship for MLBB will start from December 3 to December 11, 2022.

Playoffs will take place from December 3 to 6 with a double elimination format. The culmination of this tournament is the Grand Final which will be held on December 11, 2022.

This tournament is special for Indonesian Mobile Legends esports fans because this year's location is in Bali.

There are eight teams from all over the world competing against each other for first place and a prize of $50,000 USD. For the second and third place winners, they will receive $30,000 USD and $20,000 USD.

Each participating team has made selections from each national esports federation qualification. For example, the EVOS Esports team can represent Indonesia by winning the IESF MLBB 2022 Pelatnas.

Participating teams will start the match in the Upper Bracket with a double elimination format. This format means that each team has two chances to play.

If a team fails to win a match in the Upper Bracket, then they have one more chance to play in the Lower Bracket. Therefore, the team that loses in the Lower Bracket will be eliminated immediately.

Teams competing in the MLBB IESF World Championship must qualify or be directly invited. First, there is a Malaysian team that has passed the qualification for the Asia Championship.

After that, followed by the Slovenian team that replaced Ukraine from the European Championship. Third, the Argentine team managed to qualify for the IESF World Championship by winning the North and South American qualifiers, namely the PANAM Open.

For the African continent, the team from Namibia became the representative after winning the African Championship. After the four teams, there were four other teams that immediately qualified through direct invitations.

The tournament which is located in Bali, Indonesia started on December 3, 2022. The tournament was opened by Cambodia's victory over Namibia with a score of 2-0.

After that, the TODAK team that represented Malaysia managed to win the match with a score of 2-0 against Vietnam so that the Vietnamese team which consisted of the MDH Esports team was forced to continue the tournament in the Lower Bracket.

The next match is the S11 Gaming team from Argentina against Slovenia, which consists of players from the Cyber Wolf Esports and OBF Esports teams. The result of the match was a victory for the Argentine team.

The Upper Bracket Quarterfinals closed with a very exciting match between the hosts, namely Indonesia and the Philippines team, which consisted of players from Blacklist International.

The result was a landslide victory with a score of 2-0 by the Indonesian team, namely EVOS Esports, so that they have the right to qualify for the Upper Bracket Semifinals.

Currently, there are already two countries that have fallen because they failed to win matches in the Lower Bracket. The team from Namibia had to accept defeat in the Lower Bracket by the Vietnamese team, so they were the first team to fall.

The Philippine team was forced to play in the Lower Bracket. However, this is not a reason to be discouraged because they managed to beat a team from Europe, namely Slovenia.
