Additionally, Scot Amos, studio head at Crystal Dynamics, explained that the collaboration will lead to a new path when he said:
“…we are eager to forge this new path together, starting with building the biggest and best Tomb Raider game yet!”
Latest Tomb Raider Game Leaks
While the official statement doesn't reveal much, a post by a user named V Scooper revealed some information about the new Tomb Raider game such as:
- The next Tomb Raider will be completely open world
- The game will be set in India
- Featuring expansive landscapes, the use of motorbikes, parachutes, and Lara's usual traversal methods to navigate seamlessly across the large map and its challenges.
- The game is expected to release in less than a year if there are no delays.
- A natural disaster strikes northern India, revealing the ruins and artifacts of the ancient emperor Ashoka. Lara will battle the Society of Raiders and other rivals for these powerful relics.
- The Society of Raiders is inspired by Lara but is not affiliated and may have some opposing agendas. It also deals with new features based on recruiting teams and allies to strategically help you in missions and defeat rivals. There is an emphasis on new non-lethal combat options
