Players on PC can continue playing the game while game assets are being pre-installed. Pre-installation allows users to download important assets before server updates for a seamless download experience.

The pre-installation will consume some of the network capacity, so make sure you have a decent internet connection before starting the pre-installation process on your device.

Travelers using mobile devices will not be able to play games while game materials are pre-installed.

It should be noted that all the daily commissions and domain challenges that you want to do, do so before tapping on the pre-install button which is interesting as it may take a while to download all the pre-install data.

Genshin Impact 3.0 Update Leaks

Version 3.0 will be a significant upgrade for Genshin Impact, ushering in a new Sumeru location for Travelers to explore as well as elemental rollout Dendro.

With the introduction of the new Sumeru Islands, travelers can now interact with new world mechanics, quests, creatures and fan-favorite gear puzzles. Genshin Impact has also paved the way for building the Archon storyline which is much more interesting than the previous ones.

The second wave of banners for Genshin Impact 3.0 will be released around September 9, 2022 (tentative). This is based on the latest disclosure from a reliable leaked source on August 17, 2022.

Since Hoyoverse has yet to officially announce an exact release date, gamers should be aware that the dates listed above are subject to change.

Travelers must be aware of the fact that the Genshin Impact 3.0 update will indeed be a week smaller than usual. Versions 3.1 and 3.2 will also be one week shorter than usual.
