Steam Launch Options Resolution

- Launch Steam.
- Open your Steam library.
- Search for the game and right click.
- Select "Properties".
- Click “Set Launch Options”.
- Write “-screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080” (without quotes).
- Save settings and launch the game.
You can change the numbers in the string to whatever you want, be it 800 x 600 or 1280 x 720.
This method may not work for some games, especially those not developed using engine Unity3D.
Nevertheless, many modern games for PC currently which allows you to adjust the resolution in the game.

Steam Launch Options Window
Some people want to do many things or play games in window mode.
When running in window mode, you can drag the corners and adjust how big they are.
Although smaller images tend not to be as graphically pleasing, you should still consider this mode.
Here's how to do window mode:
- Launch Steam on PC.
- Head to the game library.
- Search for the game you want to customize.
- Right click and select “Properties”.
- Select “Set Launch Options”.
- Type “-window” in the text box (without quotes).
- Save settings.
- Launch the game to see if it works.
Sometimes the command doesn't work by itself. So you have to type “-window -w 1024” or another number instead.
If nothing works, then you can only adjust the settings via the in-game menu.

Steam Launch Options Command
There are many commands that you can enter in the launch options section. Below are some commonly used console commands:
- autoconfig – Resets all game launch options to default settings.
- -dev – Allows you to access developer mode, disables automatic loading of menu background maps, and prevents the exit dialog from appearing when you exit the game.
- -console – Starts the game with the developer console
- -dxlevel (enter number here) – Forces the game to run a specific version of DirectX, choosing from 80, 81, 90, 95, and 98.
- fullscreen – The game will start in full screen mode.
- -windowed – The game will launch in windowed mode.
- -refresh (enter rate here) – This command forces the game to run at a specific refresh rate.
- -novid – Valve's intro video will not play when you enter this command.

Steam Launch Options Run as Admin
As of now there is no Console Command to run Steam games as admin. However, you can still do it using Windows. Here's how it works:
- Right click on the Steam shortcut on the desktop.
- Click on “Properties”.
- Select the “Compatibility” tab.
- Check the box for “Run This Program As Administrator.”
- Click “Apply” and “OK.”
After that, your PC will always run Steam games as admin. If you right-click Steam and select “Run As Administrator”, it will only apply to that instance. You'll have to do it again the next time you want to play Steam games.
