The Smithing Table is often used to upgrade various diamond-based equipment to Netherite.

Every time you use the Smithing Table, players must provide a smelting template in the leftmost slot.

Next, place the armor and equipment you want to melt in the middle slot and other additional materials in the rightmost slot.

The process of using this equipment does not consume experience points and item data such as durability as well enchantment still maintained.

Upgrading armor or equipment with a Smithing Table requires smelting Netherite templates, diamond-based equipment or armor, and Netherite Ingots.

To smith, you need armor pieces, a smelting template, and minerals or crystals to give the desired color. The following are minerals and crystals that can be used:

  • Amethyst Shard
  • Copper Ingots
  • Diamonds
  • Emerald
  • Gold Ingots
  • Iron Ingots
  • Lapis Lazuli
  • Nether Quartz
  • Netherite Ingots
  • Redstone Dust

After the trimming process, the resulting armor will have a pattern that matches the melting template used. The color of the pattern itself will be determined by the color of the material and crystal.

Apart from the functions above, the Smithing Table can change the jobs of residents in a village. This condition can occur if there is a village that has a Smithing Table but has not been claimed by anyone.
