  1. Collect the necessary materials (100 stone, 10 clay, 5 copper ingots, and 100 gold),
  2. Go to “Robin's Carpenter Shop” located in the mountains;
  3. Select the “Construct Farm Buildings” option;
  4. Select “Silo”;
  5. Select the location where the Silo will be built;
  6. Wait for the building process to complete, it will usually take up to two days;
  7. You can now use the silo.

For the record, you can get 100 stones by breaking rocks with a pickaxe in the fields or in the mines. Then, 10 clay can be obtained by digging the ground with a hoe.

Meanwhile, 5 copper bars can be obtained by smelting copper ore using a furnace and coal. Meanwhile, copper bars can be found in the mine on floors 1 to 40.

Once you have successfully built the Silo, any grass you cut will be automatically stored as hay.

To see how much feed is in the Silo, you can find out by:

  1. Go to “Feeding Through” in the “Barn” or “Coop”;
  2. Press the button to take the feed;
  3. Information about the amount of feed in the Silo will appear on the screen.

Although it looks simple, Silo Stardew Valley has benefits that you can get in the very long term, namely:

  • Save gold: With Silo, you don't need to buy feed from other farmers which usually costs a lot of gold,
  • Easy to use: With Silo, you don't need to take the grass you have cut and store it somewhere, because Silo will automatically store it as hay,
  • For emergencies: During winter, grass will not grow. So, you can use the feed supplies in the Silo to feed livestock such as cows or chickens.
