How to Breathe Underwater in Minecraft

To be able to breathe underwater in Minecraft, there are three ways you can do it, namely using Potions, Turtle Shell, and Conduit Power.

Using Potions

The first method you can use to be able to breathe underwater is to make a Water Breathing Potion. By making this potion, you can stay in the water for 3 minutes.

First, you have to collect some materials and equipment to be able to make this potion. You will need a Brewing Stand, Glass Bottle, Nether Wart, Pufferfish, and a water source such as a bucket of water or a nearby pond.

Place the Water Bottle in the middle of the potion slot in the Brewing Stand. Right click on the Brewing Stand to access the menu brewing.

Next, place the Nether Wart in the top slot of the Brewing Stand. You will get an Awkward Potion, which is a basic potion that will later be used for a water-breathing potion.

Place the Awkward Potion in the middle of the slot on the Brewing Stand. Finally, place the Pufferfish in the top slot of the Brewing Stand. Now you have obtained the Potion of Water Breathing.

Using Turtle Shells

The second way is to use Turtle Shell. The first thing he had to do was feed the two turtles some seaweed.

The material you need to collect is Eight Nautilus Shells, One Heart of the Sea, 42 blocks for the frame, and water. Here is where to get this material:

• Eight Nautilus Shells – Obtained from treasure while fishing, mobs who drowned, and peddlers.
• One Heart of the Sea – Obtained from treasures in ocean wrecks and sunken ships.
• 42 blocks for the frame – The frames that can be used are prismarine, black prismarine or sea lanterns.
• Water – Obtained from a 3 x 3 x 3 volume of water from an active skeleton. You can build these skeletons in water or use buckets of water to fill them.

After collecting the material above, make it conduit (channels/canals) by placing 8 Nautilus Shells and 1 Heart of the Sea. Put the material in the menu crafting 3x3.

Place the Heart of the Sea in the center slot and place Nautilus Shells in the remaining slots from the center.

After that, activate a frame using a 5 x 5 x 5 block where each side is a plus (+) made of dark prismane, prismane, prismane bricks, or sea lanterns. Fill the framework that has been made with water with a volume of 3 x 3 x 3.

You can fill water using a bucket or make the frame underwater. Place it conduit (channels/channels) in the middle of the frame.
