Honor of Kings (HOK) Competitive System
As one of the biggest MOBA titles in the current esports climate, HOK has a fairly complex system. The competitive system itself is called a circuit.
There are two circuit systems currently taking place: (1) International, bringing together HOK and Arena of Valor (AOV) from various countries; and (2) Pro League, China's domestic HOK contest.
Later, the winners of the two systems will meet in one match, namely the Midseason Cup. This match will later be counted as the HOK competition at EWC 2024!
Especially for teams representing China themselves, they do not get tickets through competition results. This team is a special line-up of the best roosters competing in the country of origin of this game.
Of course, this was done so that China had the best chance of winning the competition, without having to 'take the trouble'. It would definitely be disappointing if the team from their home country still failed...

International: Honor of Kings Invitational Season 2 (KIS 2)
So, especially for international matches, basically there are quite a lot of divisions that are more compartmentalized. Much of this is based on regional qualifications.
Before these big teams finally meet each other, there are two competition stages that need to be passed: Invitational Season 1 and 2. Especially for Southeast Asia, teams from this region get a 'stage' at KIS 2.
What's even more exciting is that KIS 2 itself has just officially ended! So far, there are two teams representing Indonesia: RRQ (HOK Division) and Kagendra! Both are considered to be the strongest teams for the region.
This was seen when they managed to secure a position to compete against 11 teams from several other regions. Some of them include MENA, LATAM, EU, Turkiye, Malaysia, Philippines, MM/KH, and Brazil.

KIS 2 Update: LGD Gaming is officially the champion!
And until this article was written, KIS 2 had reached its final match. This party brought together two big teams from Malaysia: LGD Gaming and Team Secret.
In the competitive realm of the HOK region of Southeast Asia, so far Malaysia looks superior compared to other countries. It is very unfortunate that Indonesia's representative, Kagendra, was only able to survive until the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, RRQ itself did not even qualify for the knock-out round. Perhaps this advantage is also partly due to the results of the final being held in Kuala Lumpur.
So it is not surprising that the final which took place on July 7 was both filled by the home team. Different from MLBB, this final match uses a best of (BO) 5 format instead of 7.
Both teams managed to maximize the number of matches. The tit-for-tat scheme that was worthy of being presented in the final was quite competitive.
However, when the two teams were finally able to equalize the score and reached the final match, TeamSecret which is a joint collaboration with the management of the Dota 2 game champion, you have to swallow a bitter pill.
The final score of 3-2 for LGD Gaming was successfully recorded. Even though in the end the team from Malaysia managed to lift the trophy, the six other teams that made it to the knockout rounds all still got slots to compete in the Midseason stage.
This also includes Kagendra from Indonesia! So, they will still need our support in the future, Vicigers! Make sure to shout out #IndoPride!
