There are seven types of spells in Hogwarts Legacy namely Essential, utilities, control, force, damage, Transfiguration, and UnforgivableCurse.

Alohomora – This spell functions to provide access to many types of locked rooms and containers throughout the game.
AncientMagic – When one segment of the Ancient Magic Meter is full, players can use this spell to deal massive damage and destroy Shield Charms.
Ancient Magic Throw – Makes the player summon a special object and throw it at the target. This spell is useful for penetrating Shield Charms.
Basic Cast – Arresto Momentum is a spell that can have a slow effect on objects or enemies.
Petrificus Totalus – Strong to bind multiple enemies permanently. Enemies with higher levels will take less damage and be released from the binding effect more quickly.
Protego – Protection spells that can be used to protect yourself from various types of attacks such as spells, weapons, and so on.
Revelio – This spell is very useful for highlighting various targets such as hidden objects, puzzle items, enemies and so on so that they are easy to find.
Stupefy – Useful for stunning enemies, making them easy targets for the next spell.

Beast Feed – Give food to animals.
Beast Petting Brush – Brings up a brush to perform grooming on animals.
Disillusionment – This spell will make the player blend into the surrounding environment so that it is difficult for other people to see it.
Lumos – A spell that can help players see in dark areas. This spell can also be used to solve puzzles that require additional light.
Nab-Sack – A magic bag that players can use to rescue animals or store them.
Reparo – Make repairs to damaged or destroyed objects and restore them to their original shape.
Wingardium Leviosa – Make an object float and move it to another place.

Arrestomomentum – Slows down an object or enemy.
Glacius – Gives a Freeze effect to enemies and increases the attacks they will receive afterwards.
Levioso – Makes objects and enemies float in the air. Levioso is also useful for solving puzzles.
transformation – Change objects or enemies into other forms that are not dangerous or to complete puzzles.
force

Accio – Summons various types of objects and enemies to approach.
Descendo – Deals direct damage, but objects or enemies that are knocked to the ground will suffer quite a lot of damage.
Depulso – Depulso can repel various types of objects and enemies with great strength.
Flipendo – This spell is used to flip objects and enemies up and backwards.

Bombarda – Deals large damage accompanied by an explosion that can destroy heavy objects and hit enemies around the player.
Confringo – Releases long-range electric attacks and burns enemies.
Diffindo – Useful for slashing objects or enemies from a distance with large damage.
Expelliarmus – Disarm magic wands or other weapons from enemy hands. This spell will also deal damage even if the enemy is not carrying a weapon.
Incendio – Deals significant damage and can burn certain objects. However, Incendio has a short attack range.

AlteringSpells – This spell can change the physical form and features of items when used in conjunction with Room of Equipment.
ConjuringSpells – Reveals the physical form of the item when used together with Room of Equipment.
Evanesco – Removes items and returns moonstone when used in conjunction with Room of Equipment.
Unforgivable Curse

AvadaKedavra – One of the most dangerous spells in the world of magic, Avada Kedavra can kill enemies instantly.
Crucio – Makes most enemies suffer from continuous damage.
Empire – Forces the enemy to fight as the player's partner temporarily. Enemies will receive reduced damage so they can be the player's partner longer.
