Team Secret scandal
The first scandal on this list is a bad incident that happened to the members and players of Team Secret, especially the division Dota 2.

KQLY Affected by VAC Tyres

On November 20 2014, KQLY received a Valve Anti-Cheat Ban. This means that Valve has detected the use of cheats by KQLY when playing CS:GO, ranked and also competitively as a pro-player.
By page Liquipedia, Titan eSports immediately issued KQLY after receiving news that the French player had received a VAC ban.
Because they were previously members of Titan eSports, the team could not take part in DreamHack Winter 2014.

Use of Cheats by Forsaken on LAN

According to the Liquipedia page, ESL India found evidence that it did Forsaken also used the same cheat when participating in the ESL India Premiership: Fall 2018 tournament.

The iBUYPOWER Match-Fixing Scandal
The most famous and worst scandal in the world of esports is match-fixing by iBuyPower players. Before discussing the controversy, it's better for us to discuss a little about what match-fixing is.
Match-fixing is an event where players determine the outcome of an esports match for their own benefit.
As a well-known and strong team at its time (2014-2015), iBP players namely DaZeD, swag, AZK, and steel planned a match-fixing with cud, dboorN, and caseyfoster to deliberately lose.

According to Clutch Points, Valve announced bans against DaZeD, swag, AZK, steel, cud, and dboorN from competitive play for life.
